See, we here at Media in Review are slowly making our way around the world. Taking a dip into the East, we bring you the newest release from Korean producer Raiden and Grammy songwriter Bright Lights. Raiden has kept himself busy while developing his style and launching his career, with even traveling to Japan and performing in a rock band. This experience has affected his own personal style, as Raiden strives to combine EDM with rock. He even plays the guitar on a number of his tracks! When he pairs up with Bright Lights though, move the hell out of his way. Raiden isn’t necessarily a well-known name, but Bright Lights will take him there. She has proven this ability with being responsible for the success of Porter Robinson’s “Language” and Zedd’s Clarity album.
As far as “Heart of Steel” is concerned, the track has easily snuck onto my current P.L.U.R playlist. I am pretty sure I have Bright Lights to thank for that, as Raiden’s beats are fantastic but her vocals elevate the track to a new level of superb. Featuring a rather futuristic sound, Raiden’s original production pulls you in with its beautiful piano melody and doesn’t let go. They soon blend with some creative synths that create the perfect backdrop for the vocals of Bright Lights. Regardless of what y’all might think, there is no way this track won’t be swarming dance floors and everyone’s playlist anytime soon.
Make sure you listen to “Heart of Steel” below!
