Here it is, the follow up from the unique producer Liquid Stranger. A producer with a rather interesting style to say the least, Liquid Stranger often borders the line of avant-garde. Despite his unique style Liquid appeals to audiences all around the world regardless of their preference. This is massively evident as Liquid finds himself at the top of the charts more often than not, and has even performed a multiple festivals around the world such as the Electric Daisy Carnival, Beyond Wonderland, and SXSW. So after teasing his next EP with the release of “Hotbox” late last year, the hype was insanely real.
This Weird & Wonderful EP easily showcases Liquid’s style across each of the EP’s six tracks. While you can check out the track list below, we will go over each one real quick. The EP opens with “Launch”, an ambient/electronica track that feels like it fits the space age more than now. We then flow into “Who”, which is the first bit of melody that reaches our ears. We then hit “SPACEBOSS” and “Frankenskank”, who both take a more aggressive approach. While they may sound similar, upon comparison “SPACEBOSS” seems to meander towards a space ambient feel while “Frankenskank” wanders down to the islands for some reggae vibes. Overall, Weird & Wonderful takes us on a journey that we weren’t exactly ready for, but glad we went.
