WWE NXT |7-17-14|”I’m looking to Embarrass him!”

Hello my friends and welcome to my review of this weeks edition of NXT! Tonight’s advertised Main Event is a revenge match between Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn!

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch)

Amore’s music starts off the show as both Enzo and Colin Cassady make their way to the ring for some tag team action. It was brought up by the commentators that Enzo and Colin have not teamed with each other for over 8 months, because of Enzo’s leg injury at the time. Out next are their opponents Aiden English and Simon Gotch, The Vaudevillians! The have a new entrance this week, where a man comes out in their entrance video and introduces them. Once he calls their name the spotlight shines on that certain superstar revealing them from the dark. It honestly was really cool and something I suggest you look up yourself, because I probably did a terrible job of explaining it! Enzo Amore and Aiden English start off the match. The two were honestly back and forth, Aiden kept Enzo tried to keep Enzo under control with submission holds and basic slams, but Enzo is a, bit of a loose cannon, and when he begins to shoot there is no stopping him! The two went back and forth with strikes, English eventually lands one that sends Amore back into his corner and Colin Cassady makes the tag! Big Cass makes his way in the ring, and the commentators are quick to bring up the past between Aiden and Cass! Colin went right after Aiden with some heavy strikes, but as he lifted Aiden over his head, English managed to fall out and make the tag to Simon Gotch. Gotch ran at Big Cass full force, but Colin got his knee up and The Strong Man ran right into his knee! Colin Cassady continued to control Simon, until The Legionaries music hit and Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louise make their way out. Simon Gotch rolls Colin up from behind off the distraction and grabs a handful of tight to grantee him the victory!

Winners – The Vaudevillians

Grade – B, This match could have been great. Out of all the tag teams, the two teams that are closest to The Ascension level are The Vaudevillians and The team of Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady! But it looks like we are going to have to wait for a real showdown between these two teams, and from what little we saw, it’s promising! Watching Enzo and Aiden going back and forth was entertaining, but the big pop of the match was when Simon Gotch came in and we got to see him and Big Cass battle for the first time. Cass kind of dominated him, and if it weren’t for the distraction maybe we could of seen Gotch make a comeback, but instead The Vaudevillians have no shame in cheating to win. It seems NXT wants us focusing on these three teams, and what I think would be cool is if we got to see all three of these teams fight over the right to challenge The Ascension for their Tag Team Titles!

The Ascension Video Promo

Immediately after the Tag match, a video promo of The NXT Tag Team Champions is shown. Konner briefly talks, but Viktor does majority of the talking. The two talk about how a lot of teams want the NXT Tag Team Champions, but no matter how good you are if you set your eye on their titles you will fail. Viktor ended the promo by stating “If You think you’re the Hunter than your mistaken, because when you face The Ascension, you are only The Hunted.”

The Demise of The Beautiful Fierce Females

We are shown a video that was titles by the commentators “The Demise of The BFF’s” The video started off by showing Charlotte’s win over Natalya that earned her, her first NXT Womens Championship! The video quickly turns to showing Summer Rae’s return and how it all went south from there. The video ended with Summer winning the Number One Contendership to Charlotte’s NXT Womens Championship and how it will be “The Summer of Summer” when she wins. Once the video ends it is announce next week on NXT Charlotte will defend her NXT Womens Championship against Summer Rae!

CJ Parker vs. Xavier Woods

CJ Parker makes his way to the ring first, and I’ll be the first one to admit that he has some catch theme music! Out next is WWE Main Roster superstar, Xavier Woods! These two have had a bit of a mini feud as of late. CJ basically wants Xavier’s spot and says if he was in his position that he would be doing a lot more than Xavier is! Woods took offense to that, and despite Parker’s apology last week Woods poked fun at CJ which resulted in Parker attacking him from behind! Woods overpowered CJ early on and maintained that control with high offensive attacks like the drop kicks and Leg Drops! Xavier dominated over Parker for a long time, turning Parker’s chest red with some nasty chops, but CJ managed to get back into the match as he sent Xavier face first into the bottom rope! Parker followed up with some stiff stomps and kept Woods grounded with a headlock. Xavier fought out of it and got himself back in the match and landed an impressive Over the Rope Spinning DDT! Woods covered CJ for the win, but Parker kicked out at two. Xavier surprised by the kick out, immediately went to the top rope and went for a Diving Cross Body but missed. CJ Parker lined Xavier up for his kick, but Xavier ducked and bounced Parker off the rope and went to roll him up for a pin, but CJ Parker turned the pin into his favor to win the match.

Winner – CJ Parker

Grade – C, Pretty much just a basic match here tonight. I don’t know if it’s CJ or not, but I feel he has sparks of greatness, but he flames out after a while. Tonight just wasn’t really their night, the ending where CJ pinned Xavier looked like he messed it up. I think he was supposed to be holding onto the ropes to make it look like a cheap victory but he didn’t. I have a feeling these two aren’t done with each other yet, but hopefully their future bouts will be better than this!

Backstage Interview W/Sami Zayn

Devin Taylor is backstage with Sami Zayn! She asks Zayn about his feelings towards his match against Tyson Kidd later tonight. Zayn spoke about how he feels ever since Kidd as shown up in NXT we have slowly seen the real Tyson Kidd. He went on to call Tyson many un-kind things and even stated Tyson is living in the shadow of his wife. He ends the interview by saying if you would have said he was fighting Kidd two months ago, he would have been excited, but tonight he is just looking to embarrass him!

Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks

Alexa makes her way to the ring first, and during her entrance a video was played of a promo she cut before the match. Bliss talked about her previous victory over Sasha and how Banks underestimated her because of how Nice She is and Her Size! She even spoke how Banks former BFF’s where there. Banks makes her way down to the ring, and the match is on the way. Alexa Bliss starts off the match with quick pin falls, but each only for two. Banks, obviously annoyed by Bliss, lands a stiff dropkick after she kicks out of the second pin begins to dominate Alexa. Hitting many stiff strikes and even hitting her signature move! She hangs Bliss in the middle of the turnbuckles and then jams her knees right in Alexa’s gut! The Boss covers Alexa, but Bliss kicks out at two. Sasha continues to control Alexa, but Bliss did manage to fight back into it! Alexa using her speed to her advantage began to counter Sasha, and made her way to the top rope before she did and impressive flip over Banks! Sasha is not impresses though and it wasn’t long until she landed a Backbreaker and followed up with a Chin-Lock submission hold to force Alexa Bliss to tap out.

Winner – Sasha Banks

Grade – B-, Not a bad match between the two tonight, but we got to see The Boss dominate more tonight! It must be nice for Sasha to no longer have the distraction of The BFF’s at her side as she avenges her loss tonight. Alexa Bliss shows promise as we get to see more of her in ring skill. She still seems incredibly green to me, but she is improving each and every week. I don’t think it will be too long be Sasha Banks throws her name in the bucket of challenger for The  NXT Womens Championship!

Backstage Interview W/Tyler Breeze

Devin Taylor is backstage with Tyler Breeze and she asks him when he is going to challenge Adrian Neville for his NXT Championship. Breeze goes on to talk about greatness takes time! And once again states he suffered a Modeling Injury when he broke he broke his finger. He did say he had his agent working on the contract now! But of course it doesn’t take hours to get a contract done! Tyler than showed us his Music Video once again!

Backstage Interview W/Tyson Kidd

Before the interview, we are shown of video from last week. A reported walked tried to catch up with Natalya after the show and ask her what her reaction is to Tyson Kidd, but Natalya simply responded with a “I don’t want to talk about it.”  Devin Taylor is backstage with Tyson Kidd. She asks him about Natalya, and Kidd respond by asking her why she is wasting his time. He states when she interviewed Sami she didn’t ask him about his family! He then says what she should be asking him about is his victory over Sami Zayn, and as for his wife, she is a former WWE Divas Champion, she can take a bump and she understands accidents happen in the ring, but tonight when he beats Sami in the ring that won’t be an accident!

Adam Rose vs. Jason Jordan

Adam Rose and The Exotic Express make their return to NXT tonight and apparently Jason Jordan’s Tag Team Partner, Tye Dillinger was last seen with The Exotic Express and now he is injured, and Jason Jordan is going to get to the bottom of it! The match started off with Rose pulling off his usual antics, running his fingers down Jordan’s chest and jumping in his arms before pulling him down into a headlock! Rose kept control over Jordan through the begging but it was not long before Jordan fought back in this match landing a huge elbow on a unaccepting Rose. Jordan followed up with a great dropkicks and a very impressive suplex into a pin of only two. Jordan maintained control over Rose keeping him grounded with a headlock, but Rose fought back into the match and managed to get Jordan into the turnbuckle and hit his signature Cho Cho! Jordan stumbled to his feet right into Rose’s Party Foul. Adam Rose covers Jason Jordan for the win!

Winner – Adam Rose

Grade- C, Adam Rose makes his return to NXT to much fanfare! These two put on a basic match here with few things to boast about! I’m not sure if this whole Tye Dillinger thing is a storyline or not, but if it is that’s sucks for another upcoming team in the blooming NXT Tag Team Division. Adam Rose remains to be undefeated in the WWE/NXT!

Backstage Interview W/Kalisto

Devin Taylor is backstage with Kalisto. She talks about how he has already challenged for the NXT Tag Team Championship and almost defeated The Number One Contender for the NXT Championship, Tyler Breeze. Kalisto tells Devin he would rather talk about his future victories and not his past losses before he is interrupted by The Vaudevillians. Kalisto asks them what they are doing here and Aiden proceeds to hold up a sign reading “Where’s Your Partner?” Kalisto states that He and El Local parted ways, but proceed to tell The Vaudevillians that he can find a new and one and beat them, before asking If their speechless and then leaving!

Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn

Both Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn make their entrances and the match is quickly under way. Tyson dodged Sami early on using the rules to his advantage forcing the ref to pull Zayn off him during collision in the turnbuckle and against the ropes, the match finally gets under way when Sami finally gets his hands on Tyson landing clothesline after clothesline and following with an impressive Back Body Drop. Tyson Kidd uses the turnbuckle to pull himself up and Sami Zayn ran full force a Kidd looking for the Helluva Kick, but Tyson Kidd rolls out of the ring before Zayn could hit it. Sami rolls out after Kidd, but Tyson is up on the apron and runs at Sami landing a stiff kick to his chin and follows up with a suplex on the steel ramp on the outside of the ring before the commercial break. Once were back from the break we see Tyson Kidd cover Sami Zayn for a one count and then continue to keep control over Sami Zayn. Sami tries to fight back and the two superstars find themselves in the turnbuckle and Kidd begins to beat down on Zayn in the Turnbuckle before lifting him up and tying Zayn to the Tree of Woe! Tyson runs over to the other side of the ring and begins to measure Zayn up as the crowd sings The Chicken Dance at Kidd! Tyson does not let it bother him as he runs as Zayn full force and lands a harsh dropkick to Sami’s face. Tyson keeps control over Zayn grounding him with a headlock, but Zayn manages to get out of it and begins to brawl with Tyson and bounce of the ropes to land an impressive dropkick onto Tyson. Kidd rolls out of the ring, but Sami Zayn is one step ahead of Kidd as he uses the ropes to hit a Springboard Moonsault onto Tyson on the outside of the ring. Tyson rolls himself back into the ring and Sami rushes to the tope rope to land a cross body onto an unsuspecting Kidd! Zayn forces Kidd up and locks hands with him before slapping the chest of Kidd. Sami than went to run off the ropes, but Tyson counters into a drop toe hold, sending Sami face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Sami lays his head out side of the ring, a choice he would soon regret as Tyson Kidd lands a over the rope leg drop onto him, and then keeps control over Zayn. Sami has a brief moment when he and Kidd continued to counter each other, as the two attempted to German Suplex each other, but once again it was Tyson Kidd he win the debacle and lands a German Suplex onto Sami Zayn. Tyson climbs to the top rope and Sami tries to battle him but Kidd just kicks him away and leaps for an Elbow Drop, but he lands right onto Zayn’s Knees! Sami begins to take control and lands Blue Thunder Bomb that gets him only a two count! Tyson rolls on to the outside apron, Sami runs at him but Kidd catches him off guard with a stiff kick! Sami is on wobbly legs as Tyson runs to the top rope and lands a Blockbuster on Sami, but only for a two count. The two have a weird exchange but Tyson ends up locking in the Sharpshooter! Sami struggles to get to the ropes, and when he does Tyson just pulls him way. Sami did end up making it to the ropes refusing to tap out to Kidd! Tyson once again goes to the top rope and dives at Sami, but Zayn catches him in the air and takes him down to the mat where he locks in The Koji Clutch to force Tyson Kidd to tap out!

Winner – Sami Zayn

Grade – A, Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd continue to put on great matches together. These two have great chemistry together and make perfect rivals. Zayn has always been a fan favorite on NXT and I feel he always will be! Tyson has pulled off his new heel role perfectly, and suffers a tough loss here tonight. It’ll be interesting to see how Tyson responds to this!

Superstars of the Night – The Vaudevillians

Tonight marks the first time we have two superstars of the night! The Vaudevillians have quickly become a top team in NXT and it would appear they are heading down the road to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championships! Sami Zayn may of had a great match against Tyson Kidd tonight, and he finally got his revenge, but Aiden English and Simon Gotch managed to catch my attention during each of their segments. They opened up the show against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and what was a very exciting match up, that sadly ended early due to the distraction of The Legionaries, but it makes me hope foe a three way team match for the #1 Contendership to the Tag belts! Also their segment with Kalisto was a lot better than it should of been. Both Simon Gotch and Aiden English are excelling in their new role as a team, and are the only real challenge right now to The Ascension’s Tag Team Titles Reign.

WWE NXT |6-19-14| Tyson Pulls the Trigger!

Hello my friends, and welcome to my review of this week’s edition of NXT! Tonight, after losing his second opportunity at the NXT Championship, what does the future hold for Tyson Kidd.

Natalya & JBL Segment.

Before the show begins we are shown a video from backstage at Raw! Nattie explains to JBL that Tyson has had a bad week and he just needs something different. She tosses the idea of Kidd and Sami Zayn forming a tag team. JBL seems to like the idea and takes it into consideration.

Sasha Banks W/Summer Rae & Charlotte (c) vs. Alexa Bliss

Our first match of the night, is a  match that was announced last week. There was a bit of an altercation last week between The BBFs that led to Bliss challenging Sasha to a match. Banks makes her way to the ring first with both Summer Rae and the NXT Womens Champion, Charlotte following her. Out next is Bliss, nothing to important happened in either of the entrances, it was noted however by the commentators that The BFFs have been getting along as of late, a huge change from last week. The two stare each other down before the match begins, once the bell is rung the two divas begin to circle around each other. Banks makes the first move by shoving the face of Bliss. Bliss smiled it off, but Sasha get a headlock on Bliss only for a few moments before Alexa bounces Banks off. Sasha avoids Alexa’s move, but Bliss quickly gets back up to her feet and takes Banks down. Sasha quickly up the her feet, she tosses Bliss off the ropes and catches her but Ms. Bliss turns it around on Sasha and covers her for a short count of one. Bliss quickly got to her feet, but Bliss planted Banks as she got up, sending her into the turnbuckle. Bliss quickly runs at Banks and hits her with a monkey flip. She quickly ran at her as Banks got up, but she seemed to have tripped, allowing Sasha to pick her up and lock her in a headlock. The headlock did not last long though as Alexa broke out of it and hit Banks with a forearm, before bouncing off the ropes. Unfortunately for Bliss, Banks saw her coming and reversed her move into an impressive tilt a-whirl back breaker that only earned her a two count. Banks slaps Bliss around before locking her into a surfboard stretch that lasted quite awhile. Alexa Bliss hung in there though as Banks was forced to let go of the submission hold after Banks grabbed a handful of Bliss’s hair only letting go of the hold as the ref reached four in his five count. Summer and Charlotte begin to have problems on the outside of the ring. They began to argue and accuse each other for doing stuff, while Banks continued to dominate Bliss in the ring. Eventually the bickering on the outside of the ring caught Banks attention as she went to check on them. Banks distracted by her fellow BFFs, Bliss runs from behind and rolls her up for a three count!

Winner – Alexa Bliss

Grade – C, It was not long after the match ended the Summer Rae and The NXT Womens Champion, Charlotte began to get physical. Charlotte pushed Summer, Summer slapped Charlotte and The BFFs began to argue including Banks. It seems like the end is near for The Beautiful Fierce Females. As for Bliss, she earns a huge victory here tonight over Banks. I don’t see her getting a title shot soon, but for someone as new as her to only have one defeat on her record to the current NXT Womens Champion, is sure says a lot for the confidence in her. At times it seemed like Bliss or Banks messed up and it did feel a bit rushed, but it served its purpose. Add fuel to the fire of the feud between The BFFs. Originally it looked like it was going to be between Summer and Charlotte, but after tonight I feel, along with the NXT Crowd tonight that it’s time for a Triple Threat!

Tyson Kidd & Natalya Segment

Tyson is seen backstage prepping for his match later tonight. Natalya comes in to check on him. She expresses how excited she is, but it doesn’t take long for this to turn into an argument. Tyson and Nattie go back and forth about how Nattie cost Tyson his title match and how Tyson could of earned this shot on his own. The segment ends when Tyson says he needs to go find Zayn and go over stuff for their tag match later tonight. It was interesting to hear Tyson blame Nattie for his loss, and it seems that this relationship is suffering form Tyson’s failures as Nattie just tries to help!

Mojo Rawley vs.Garrett Dylan

Before this match begins we are shown a video of Aiden English and the man he met last week. The video was shot in black and white and made to look like it was on a projector. The two talk in the way of the classics movie. The video was to hype up the new tag team of English and this new strange man. Mojo’s music begins to play, and the man who is always hype makes his way to the ring. Already in the ring is a man we have not seen before, his opponent Garrett Dylan! Mojo quickly takes the advantage as he locks Dylan in a headlock before taking him down with a hip toss while keeping the headlock in tact. Dylan briefly gets out of the move, but not for long as Mojo once again locks in the headlock. The two got to there feet, and Mojo backs Garrett up into the turnbuckle were he begins to slam Dylan with shoulder blocks. Dylan stumbles out of the turnbuckle, but Mojo backs him into another one and continues with the shoulder blocks. Dylan finally fights back as he takes out a running Mojo’s leg, sending him face first into the turnbuckle pad. Dylan continues to beat down on Rawley, lifting him up for for a back suplex. Garrett stomps on Mojo and chokes him on the bottom rope, than he bounces Mojo of the ropes and catches him in an abdominal stretch. Dylan punches at the ribs on Mojo, trying to get him to tap out, but Rawley fights out of it when he arm drags Dylan. The two struggle to get back to their feet, but once there both up they begin to exchange a few punches. Dylan backs off into a turnbuckle, Mojo takes advantage as he runs full force at Dylan hitting him with a splash while he was in the turnbuckle. Garrett Dylan stumbles out of the turnbuckle into the center of the ring as Mojo plants him with a rear end to the face before hitting Hyper Drive to pick up the win.

Winner – Mojo Rawley

Grade – C, Mojo continue to win, but still over talent no body knows, or no body cares about! His only real feud was between English, and even tough English put up more of a challenge than anyone else Mojo has faced, he was still made to look weak compared to him. Mojo is suffering the same fate as the tag champs right now, the only difference is The Ascension’s matches are a lot more entertaining than Mojo’s. I’m not sure what the WWE sees in him, but so does the NXT Universe because he is over with just about everyone but myself!

Tyson Kidd & Sami Zayn Segment

Sami Zayn meets up with Tyson backstage. Sami talks about how both he and Tyson have suffered huge losses as of late, but tonight is about the tag team championships! Tyson agrees and states that tonight is the restart. I’m excited for this match The hard hitting style of The Ascension meets the high flying style of Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn!

The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch) vs. Angelo Dawkins & Travis Tyler

Before our next match begins we see CJ Parker walking around the NXT Universe with his recycled sign. The screen turns black and white as Aiden English and Simon Gotch make their way out on opposite sides. English comes out with a mega phone and holds it up to his mouth as Gotch holds a microphone up to the megaphone. English introduces himself and Gotch as The Vaudevillians, some old time music plays over the loud speaker as the two make their way down to the ring. Already in the ring our their opponents Angelo Dawkins and Travis Tyler! Simon Gotch and Angelo Dawkins are in the ring first. Dawkins makes the first move as he takes Gotch down with a basic slam, but Simon turns it around while he is on the mat, locking Dawkins in a hammer lock and doing one arms push-ups on the back of Dawkins. Angelo gets up and quickly tags in Tyler. Travis Tyler goes right after Gotch, but Simon turns it around once again and locks Tyler in a headlock. He backs up into his corner where he tags in English and his an uppercut to the back of the head of Tyler while Aiden his him with a boot that only gives him a two count. English continues to beat down on Tyler, hitting him with an impressive leg drop and working on the wrist of his opponent before tagging Simon Gotch back in. Gotch and English work together, and Simon goes right back to working on the wrist and forearm of Travis using both his feet and hands! Tag is made again, and The Vaudevillians once again work together, as Simon hols Travis there while English lands a punch to the ribs of Tyler. English continues to dominate over Travis Tyler using his knees as weapons and constantly keeping Tyler locked in a headlock before making yet another tag to Simon Gotch. Gotch gets in while English holds Travis from behind, Simon lands a quick punch right to the gut and holds onto Tyler’s arm while he reaches out to his partner. While Tyler was reaching for Dawkins, Simon Gotch was doing squats, before he pulled Tyler back and tagged in English. Before getting out Simon Gotch hit Travis Tyler with a Kamikaze Roll, allowing English to climb to the top rope and hit a Senton Flip for the win!

Winners – The Vaudevillians

Grade – B-, The Vaudevillians making their debut here tonight as a team, and Simon Gotch as well making his debut on NXT. The dominated their opponents here tonight, specifically Travis Tyler, and the looked good doing it. I’ve been saying for quite a long time now that The Ascension needed some game opponents, and with new teams rising up including The Vaudevillians, I have a feeling the tag champs may be in trouble. My only gripe about this match is that it went on a little longer than it should, but other than that I love The Vaudevillians!

Backstage Interview W/ Colin Cassady

Devin Taylor is backstage ready to interview Big Cass. Devin talks about Colin’s victory over Sylvester Lefort last week. Colin comments on how this have been smooth sailing for him, but if could be better and he thinks its time it gets better. Colin ends the interview by singing us out. With recent talk during his matches about him and the NXT title, I can only assume that is what Big Cass is talking about here, and i couldn’t be more excited about it!

Backstage Interview W/ Rob Van Dam

Devin Taylor is backstage with RVD! She asks Van Dam what he plans on doing here as she welcomes him to the show. Van Dam expresses how great the talent is on NXT and claims he found the top dog in our NXT Champion Adrian Neville and expresses that he wants to challenge. What a huge opportunity for Neville as he has an opportunity to step in the ring with the legendary R V D!

Kalisto vs. Tyler Breeze

Kalisto makes his way down to the ring first to a huge crowd response. The crowd chanted “Lucha” at Kalisto as he made his way to the ring, out next is Prince Pretty himself, the number one contender to the NXT Championship Tyler Breeze! The Bell rings, and this match is under way! The two lock up, Breeze pushes Kalisto back into the turnbuckle but the two continue to counter each other for the next few seconds. Breeze, obviously frustrated with Kalisto screams at him “I’m the Number One Contender!” Once again they lock up, but this time Tyler manages to lock Kalisto in a head lock. Kalisto tries to get out of is by tossing Breeze off, but Tyler manages to hang on and keep Kalisto in the headlock while taking him down with a hip toss. Tyler covers him but only for a two, Breeze tries for another pin, but once again only a two count! Tyler continues to keep the headlock locked in, as Kalisto manages to get back to his feet and toss Breeze off again, but Tyler counters once again dropping down and keeping the headlock locked in still! Kalisto rolls Breeze over getting a quick pin of one, but once again Breeze get out and keeps the headlock locked in for awhile longer. Kalisto manages to get to his feet again and once again tried to toss Tyler over, but he hangs on, this time though Kalisto rolls backwards to get out of the hold and quickly jumps off the ropes to hit Breeze with a spinning crossbody. Kalisto bounces off the ropes, Breeze tried to trip him by sliding his body in front of him but Kalisto jumped over him and managed to catch Breeze’s head between his feet, before tossing him to the outside of the ring. Kalisto began to run against the ropes and looked like he was going to jump to the outside onto Breeze, but faked him out as we go to commercial break. Once we back, Tyler quickly gets back in control with a jawbreaker and than continued to stomp Kalisto into the turnbuckle. Breeze continues to control the match once again with a headlock. After holding him down for quite awhile, Kalisto fights back to his feet and eats a forearm from Breeze before connecting with a hurricarana  pin for only a two count. Tyler quickly gets two his feet and jumps at Kalisto hitting him with a straight punch to the head. Breeze begins to shower his opponent with fist while he lays on the ground, Tyler covers him for a pin of only 2. Frustrated Breeze continues to pin his opponent but Kalisto kicked out every time. Kalisto began to fight back but it was not long until Breeze once again took him down with a headlock. Breeze held on to the headlock and eventually got back to his feet, he ran Kalisto face first into the turnbuckle and went to cover him for the pin, but Kalisto managed to roll away from Breeze towards the outside apron. Breeze went after, but paid for hit when Kalisto kicked straight up into Breeze’s face!  Kalisto climbs to the top turnbuckle and lands a crossbody on Breeze. Unfortunately Kalisto could not capitalize and both men laid there as the ref began the count. We almost saw this match end, when the referee  reached the count of nine but both Breeze and Kalisto made it up to their feet. Kalisto lands a kick to Breeze’s leg and than continues by blocking Breeze’s punch and landing his own, both superstars are standing on wobbly legs, Breeze rolls Kalisto up, but Kalisto rolls out of the pin and than rolls over to Breeze to land a stiff kick to the face of the Number One Contender. Kalisto covers Breeze, but only for a count of two! Breeze gets up into the turnbuckle and Kalisto runs at him, Tyler counters by tossing Kalisto over the ropes, but Kalisto lands on the outside apron and climbed to the top of the turnbuckle. Breeze saw him and went running at him, but Kalisto dodged him using the top rope to cartwheel away from Breeze. Once again Tyler ran after Kalisto this time he ducked under Breeze’s clothesline and than hung onto the ropes continuing to catch Breeze off guard! Kalisto spring boarded off the ropes, but this time Tyler catches Kalisto off guard landing The Beauty Shot on him and covering him for the three.

Winner – Tyler Breeze

Grade – C, Not a good showing for either of these two today. Maybe I went in having high hopes, but this match really disappointed me. I’ve heard some really good things about Kalisto but have yet to see any of this, and I know Tyler is much better. I may be given this match to much criticism right now because at times this match was really good when the two actually fought! but what ruined this match the most is I felt like I just sat through a match that was 90% headlock and 10% wrestling. It just could of been much better. The Number One Contender continues riding the wave of momentum, as he in my honest opinion dominated Kalisto tonight with just a small hiccup at one point! I’ve heard that he has suffered an injury so I suspect he will be out of action for only a short time, but this could be a great time for him to WOW us with his mic skills. Probably the worst match I’ve seen of Tyler, but I’m still a fan, and I’m still excited for whats coming next!

NXT Tag Team Championship!

Tyson Kidd & Sami Zayn vs. The Ascension (c) (Konner O’Brian & Rick Viktor)

Before the entrances, it was officially announced that next week on NXT, RVD takes on the NXT World Champion Adrian Neville, and also it was announced that the Number One Contender, Tyler Breeze has left the building! Tyson Kidd makes his way to the ring first and Sami Zayn follows. Soon the NXT Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring and this title match is under way! Sami Zayn and Viktor start off the match, and Viktor takes the early control over Zayn hitting him with hard hitting strikes and eventually bouncing him chest first off the ropes and into his forearm. Viktor began to beat down on Zayn eventually striking Zayn into the turnbuckle. He continued the strikes before pulling Zayn out of the turnbuckle just to toss him right back in. Zayn bounced off the turnbuckle and he stumbled over to the middle of the ropes. Viktor once again bounced Zayn off the ropes chest first and striking him with his forearm. Viktor picked Zayn up and went to bounce him off the ropes again, but Sami used the ropes to springboard over Viktor’s shoulders, and takes him down with a dropkick. Zayn covers Viktor for a one count, he then gets Viktor in a headlock and tries to tag in Kidd, but Viktor lifts Zayn up onto his shoulders and runs him into his turnbuckle, where Konner tags himself in. Konner lands a stiff punch to the temple of Zayn, and than tosses him back into his turnbuckle and begins to shower Sami with stiff stomps. The fans Chat “YAH” every time Konner strikes him, and as he backs up the begin to chant “One More YAH!” Witch Konner gladly grants them! Viktor gets the tag back in and covers Zayn for only a two. Viktor quickly begins to strike Zayn once again, not allowing him to get back into the match at all! Viktor leads Zayn up against the ropes and lands a forearm right onto the jaw before striking him back into his corner where he makes the tag to Konner. Konner only briefly comes in and showers Zayn with more stomps to the gut before tagging Viktor back in. Zayn tries to get away and make a tag to Tyson, but Viktor grabs him! Zayn tries to get Viktor off him, landing elbows onto the side of Viktor’s skull, but Rick Viktor pulls Zayn back by his tights and hits him with an impressive spine buster. The two battle some more, and eventually the camera pans over to Tyson Kidd as it seems he is leaving telling Zayn “If you want to fight the whole match, than fight the whole match.” Zayn and Viktor continue to battle inside the ring. Viktor gains control and tosses Zayn into his corner while looking over at Tyson. Sami ran at Konner and hit him with a forearm and than put his boots up to catch Viktor. Sami climbed to the top of the turnbuckle and landed and flying crossbody onto Rick Viktor. Zayn reaches for the tag to Tyson Kidd, but notices he isn’t there. Sami get into his corner and him and Tyson begin to exchange words. Meanwhile Konner gets the tag in and starts to stare down Zayn in the opposite corner before running at him and hitting him with a monstrous splash as he catches Zayn off guard. Konner makes the tag back into Viktor and The Ascension measure Sami up and hit him with The Fall of Man! Viktor covers Sami for the win.

Winners & still NXT Tag Team Champions – The Ascension!

Grade – B, Not a bad match tonight, but it could of been so much better! The story line comes first here tonight though, as it would seem Tyson Kidd has officially turned Heel! as he abandoned his partner and left him high and dry to the Tag Team Champions! Konner and Viktor to my surprise continued the dominance. I had no doubt that they were going to win, but I thought we would of seen a more competitive match, but the entire match Sami Zayn just got beat down both The Tag Champs, and the second where the action could of picked up, Tyson Kidd was not there to make the tag! I don’t know for sure, but I think we may have a Tyson Kidd/Sami Zayn feud coming up soon! However The Ascension wins what shout of been a hard match, rather easily! and continues to reign over the NXT Tag Team Division!

Superstar of the Night – Tyson Kidd

Tyson Kidd, despite not winning the Tag Team Titles tonight, still ends up being the Superstar of the night. The show was built around him! We had several segments featuring him in some sort of way from the opening with Natalya and JBL to Kidd and Zayn getting pumped up for their title match, and than he made the main event match all about him, with out even stepping in the ring. Tyson Kidd made his Heel turn tonight when he abandoned Zayn and fed him to The Ascension. Kidd is becoming a big part of NXT, and with Tyler Breeze out for an injury, Tyson could fill his spot while he is gone, but than again, I’m sure Sami Zayn wants a little revenge on Tyson first!

WWE NXT|5-15-14| Triple Threat!

Hello my friends and welcome to my review of May fifteenth’s edition of NXT! Tonight’s advertised Main Event is a Triple Threat Match for the Number One Contendership for the NXT Championship! After the events that took place last week after the battle royal, Tyler Breeze, Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd all face each other in our main event to find out who will face our NXT World Champion, Adrian Neville at NXT: Takeover!

The Ascension (c) |Konner O’Brian & Rick Viktor| vs. Buddy Murphy and Elias Sampson.

There really isn’t a point to review this match! Once again a bunch of jobbers are thrown at at the champs! So let’s just make this short so I can get to my thoughts on this match! The Ascension wins the match after hitting The Fall of Man on Murphy to win the match.

Winners – The Ascension (c)

Rating – 5|10: I feel bad giving this match anything below a five. Konner and Viktor are very impressive performers! but there match are just becoming more and more predictable! I thought when I saw this new Tag Division forming, I got excited the finally The Ascension were going to get some challenges, but the other teams need time to develop so until than The Ascension still needs to look good! but week after week after week after week its the same thing! Konner and Viktor just dominating their opponents! William Regal said it best after the match, “I want to see The Ascension challenged.” and so do I, but if this is what I keep getting, than their ranking is going to keep getting lower and lower and I’m going to become uninterested! Luckily after the match, Konner picked up the microphone so let’s see what he has to say!

After Match Promo!

Konner grabs to mic and states that He and Viktor have mowed through everyone put in front of them, than Viktor grabbed the mic and simply said “Give Us Something New to Destroy!” and everything I just said, The Ascension agrees! Theme music plays in the background and we see Kalisto and El Local! El Local gets on the mic and states they have never faced them, but once they do the only thing The Ascension would hear is “Lucha, Lucha, Lucha”  as Kalisto said! So it looks like the new team of Luchadores is the number one contenders! I’m not sure how the match will be, but this is the closest thing to a challenge The Ascension has had! but just for future reference, I know they don’t have much of a choice, since Kalisto most likely only speaks Spanish, but to have El Local do the talking may be a mistake! I mean it’s pretty obvious that its Ricardo Rodriquez! Maybe a manger is best for them! But hopefully this is the challenge we have been looking for!

Backstage Interview W/Sami Zayn

Instead of Devin Taylor this time, instead a new interview named Veronica is in the back ready to interview one of the men who will be in the triple threat match tonight, Sami Zayn! She asks Zayn about the match tonight! Zayn talks about his past obsession with earning Cesaro’s respect, he even talks about how he failed to capture the NXT title at one point! Zayn points out that both Breeze and Kidd are at the top of the game right now, but Zayn says his new obsession is the NXT Title!

Round Two of the NXT Womens Championship Tournament.

Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte W/Sasha Banks

Before we start this match off, it is announced that Tyler Breeze is in the building, but now we start Round Two of the tournament to crown our new NXT Womens Champion. The daughter of Ric Flair, Charlotte defeated Emma to earn her spot and the rookie, Alexa Bliss  upset former Divas Champion, Alicia Fox in her debut match! Now the two face each other off to determine who will challenge the winner of Sasha Banks and Natalya for the Womens Championship! Last week, despite being dominated by Fox, Bliss pulled out the upset win! One would think that her and Charlotte are on even levels, but if you were to think that, than you haven’t been watching! Charlotte has been very dominate in this tournament! She is the heavy favorite, and once again Bliss found herself dominated! Charlotte held Bliss in many submission moves that I’ll even admit, it looked like it hurt! Bliss tried to catch Charlotte off guard with a pin just as she did to Fox! but Charlotte just kept taking it to Bliss and pinned her for the three when she hit, Bow To The Queen!

Winner – Charlotte

Rating – 5\10: Lighting could not strike twice tonight! Bliss just did not compare to Charlotte and I hope she isn’t going to be buried the way she has been! Bliss is new, and she needs to look like she can compete, but she doesn’t! The two times we have seen Bliss in the ring she has gotten little to know offense in both matches. Sadly tonight she could not catch Charlotte off guard like she did to Ms. Fox last week! Charlotte on the other hand is still the heavy favorite win! We now know for sure that at NXT: Take Over Charlotte will either face Natalya or her Tag Team Partner Sasha Banks with the NXT Womens Title on the line!

Backstage Exclusive W/Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze is backstage, but no is there to interview him! Instead Breeze is making a video all by himself. He starts off by listing his many names! Than states in order to be a champion not only do you need to do whatever it takes, but you have to be gorgeous! You than states both Kidd and Zayn are boring! and from Canada where no one is beautiful, He says it’s a country full of Micheal Cera’s! Breeze states that Zayn and Kidd won’t do whatever it takes, but he will! This has to be one of the best promos Breeze has ever put on! He has been very impressive ever since I stated watching NXT, and he is definitely improving on the skills he needed to!

Mojo Rawley vs. Aiden English

Two weeks ago when Mojo Rawley defeated Oliver Grey, English came down and expressed how he is tired of Mojo and demanded he get out of his ring. Aiden rushed in, but Mojo quickly got rid of him! Tonight the two settle their issues in this match here tonight! Regal, who is a huge fan of Aiden, even expressed his worry for English! and he should because Mojo quickly ran at English and tossed him into the turnbuckle and hit him with some huge shoulder thrust! He continued to dominate English with a huge slam and even an impressive cross body! English did mange to get into control as he kept Mojo grounded with a Chin Lock, but that was bout it! Mojo managed to get out of the submission hold and hit a clothesline before tossing English back into the turnbuckle and hit him with a HUGE splash! Mojo followed up with a Rear End right to the face of English and he finished him off with Overdrive!

Winner – Mojo Rawley

Rating – 5\10: Honestly the matches have not been that great tonight. Aiden was the first challenge to Mojo and it didn’t even look like Mojo broke a sweat! Yes, English did get some offense in and some in better than none I guess! But I have a huge problem with Mojo! He is not ready to be in the ring! Tonight I wanted to see more from him, something he hasn’t shown me in his previous showing, but instead it was just the same thing! If WWE is serious about Mojo, they need to let him train more, because just like The Ascension, I’m getting tired of Mojo doing the same thing!

Backstage Exclusive W/Tyson Kidd

Kidd is asked by an unnamed man about his match later tonight! Kidd expresses that The Shield, The Wyatts and Big E are making noise on the main roster, and they are all from NXT! He says he believes in working hard and second chances and ends the interview by saying he will by World Champ!

Angelo Dawkins vs. Colin Cassady

Angelo Dawkins is already in the ring and dancing to his forgettable theme music, but a familiar theme plays over the loud speakers! and its his opponent Big Cass! I feel it is important to acknowledge that The commentators did say that Big Cass is now being looked at in a different light, and many believe he is a future NXT World Champ! Dawkins is another guy who I feel has an interesting look, but we don’t get to see much from him! Colin was very stiff tonight it seemed like! Colin his Dawkins with many hard hitting strikes, varying from knees to just straight punches! Despite the fact there is a match going on, CJ Parker manged to catch the audience’s attention as he walked around them with a sign that read “No More Xtra Toxins!” with the NXT logo being used as well, also on the back of the sign it read “This Sign is Recyclable.” Back in the match Colin Cassady is still dominated over Dawkins, but Angelo managed to hit an impressive drop kick, but as it seemed like he was getting back into the match Big Cass quickly shut him back down! Towards the end of the match Cass hit a massive Big Boot and than followed with East River Crossing to win the match!

Winner – Colin Cassady

Rating – 6\10: It’s great to hear that Big Cass is starting to get some attention, because I have felt for a long time that Colin has it! When I look at Cassady I see a future World Champion, and I’m not talking about the NXT title! Two superstars shined here tonight thought, and it wasn’t Angelo Dawkins! Despite the fact that CJ Parker was not even in the match, I believe he made the biggest impact! I’m not sure if a feud is in sorts here, but I’m glad to see both superstars looking good! Now if only Angelo can start looking good, because there is something about him that has me interested to see more!

Backstage segment W/ JBL & Bo Dallas

The General Manager of NXT is shown backstage texting, when the former NXT Champion, Bo Dallas walks up to him with a bunch of papers in his hands! Bo tells JBl that they are fan letters from his Bo-Leviers! He also tells Bradshaw that when he was talking to them on his Bo Hotline that they were demanding he get another shot. Bo than tells JBL that if he doesn’t add him to the triple threat match, that all the letters from his Bo-Leivers would go to JBL! JBL tells Bo he can’t give him something he doesn’t deserve, but he tells Bo that if he can beat his next opponent, he would get a title shot, but if Bo loses, he would leave NXT! Bo asks who is opponent is, and JBL gives him five guesses! Bo’s first guess was John Cena! JBL tells him he is wrong and doesn’t even let Bo guess the next 4 times and tells him that he will be facing Big E! Bo is excited about this match since Big E never beat him and he did beat Big E for the NXT World Title! Bo leaves his letters with JBL to end the segment!

Triple Threat Match for the Number One Contendership for the NXT Championship

Tyson Kidd vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Sami Zayn

All there superstars take awhile to get the match started, as they stand in a triangle and wait for their moment! Zayn and Kidd seemed like they were about to lock up, but Breeze went after Kidd. Tyson quickly counters and took it to both Breeze and Zayn with stiff kicks! Zayn manged to gain control and was able to toss Tyson into the turnbuckle after the two exchanged some strikes and as Zayn measured Kidd up for that Running Boot into the Turnbuckle, Breeze caught him off guard with a Beauty Shot while he was running! Tyler pinned Zayn, but Kidd was there to break it up! Kidd and Breeze began to fight with the two exchanging the advantage many times! Breeze was mostly in control, until Kidd got him on the outside! Kidd began to build up some steam and dive to the outside to take out Tyler Breeze, but he got his forearm up and Kidd went face first into it. Directly after that though Zayn built up some speed and did a Front Flip over the ropes onto Tyler Breeze, he than climbed to the top of the turnbuckle and hit Kidd with a Cross Body, but only got a two! The two continued to battle, Tyson managed to grab the legs of Zayn and lock him into The Sharpshooter, but as Zayn suffered in the middle of the ring, Tyler Breeze came to his rescue with a Super Kick to the side of the skull of Tyson! Breeze covered Kidd but only got a two! It was back and forth but once we got to the end it got crazy! Tyson Kidd climbed to the top of the turnbuckle and was looking for Blockbuster of Breeze, but Tyler once again hit Kidd with a forearm to the head, but the second he turned around Zayn connected with that Running Big Boot in the Turnbuckle! Zayn climbed to the top where Tyson was, but Kidd tossed him out of the ring and hit an Elbow Drop on Breeze! Zayn rushed in but was a second to late when Kidd pinned Breeze for the three.

Winner & New Number On Contender – Tyson Kidd

Rating – 8\10: I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t remember a whole lot from this match! A lot happened and I’m sure I missed some stuff! All three competitors went to war here tonight! All looked like they could of won at one point and they all looked good! We now know at NXT : Take Over, Adrian Neville will defend his NXT Championship against Tyson Kidd! and I for one am very excited for that match!

Superstar of the Night – Tyson Kidd.

Once again Tyson finds himself as the superstar of the night! Ever since Kidd has returned to NXT he has been very impressive. Picking up victories over Mason Ryan and Bo Dallas! and now beating both Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze in a Triple Threat here tonight! Kidd was very impressive in his promo earlier and he made a great point when he mentioned how The Shield, The Wyatts and Big E are making an impact on the main roster and they all came from NXT! Now Kidd gets his first ever singles title shot in the WWE! Tyson said early tonight he will be NXT World Champion! and now it is very possible!
