WWE NXT |7-17-14|”I’m looking to Embarrass him!”

Hello my friends and welcome to my review of this weeks edition of NXT! Tonight’s advertised Main Event is a revenge match between Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn!

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch)

Amore’s music starts off the show as both Enzo and Colin Cassady make their way to the ring for some tag team action. It was brought up by the commentators that Enzo and Colin have not teamed with each other for over 8 months, because of Enzo’s leg injury at the time. Out next are their opponents Aiden English and Simon Gotch, The Vaudevillians! The have a new entrance this week, where a man comes out in their entrance video and introduces them. Once he calls their name the spotlight shines on that certain superstar revealing them from the dark. It honestly was really cool and something I suggest you look up yourself, because I probably did a terrible job of explaining it! Enzo Amore and Aiden English start off the match. The two were honestly back and forth, Aiden kept Enzo tried to keep Enzo under control with submission holds and basic slams, but Enzo is a, bit of a loose cannon, and when he begins to shoot there is no stopping him! The two went back and forth with strikes, English eventually lands one that sends Amore back into his corner and Colin Cassady makes the tag! Big Cass makes his way in the ring, and the commentators are quick to bring up the past between Aiden and Cass! Colin went right after Aiden with some heavy strikes, but as he lifted Aiden over his head, English managed to fall out and make the tag to Simon Gotch. Gotch ran at Big Cass full force, but Colin got his knee up and The Strong Man ran right into his knee! Colin Cassady continued to control Simon, until The Legionaries music hit and Sylvester Lefort and Marcus Louise make their way out. Simon Gotch rolls Colin up from behind off the distraction and grabs a handful of tight to grantee him the victory!

Winners – The Vaudevillians

Grade – B, This match could have been great. Out of all the tag teams, the two teams that are closest to The Ascension level are The Vaudevillians and The team of Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady! But it looks like we are going to have to wait for a real showdown between these two teams, and from what little we saw, it’s promising! Watching Enzo and Aiden going back and forth was entertaining, but the big pop of the match was when Simon Gotch came in and we got to see him and Big Cass battle for the first time. Cass kind of dominated him, and if it weren’t for the distraction maybe we could of seen Gotch make a comeback, but instead The Vaudevillians have no shame in cheating to win. It seems NXT wants us focusing on these three teams, and what I think would be cool is if we got to see all three of these teams fight over the right to challenge The Ascension for their Tag Team Titles!

The Ascension Video Promo

Immediately after the Tag match, a video promo of The NXT Tag Team Champions is shown. Konner briefly talks, but Viktor does majority of the talking. The two talk about how a lot of teams want the NXT Tag Team Champions, but no matter how good you are if you set your eye on their titles you will fail. Viktor ended the promo by stating “If You think you’re the Hunter than your mistaken, because when you face The Ascension, you are only The Hunted.”

The Demise of The Beautiful Fierce Females

We are shown a video that was titles by the commentators “The Demise of The BFF’s” The video started off by showing Charlotte’s win over Natalya that earned her, her first NXT Womens Championship! The video quickly turns to showing Summer Rae’s return and how it all went south from there. The video ended with Summer winning the Number One Contendership to Charlotte’s NXT Womens Championship and how it will be “The Summer of Summer” when she wins. Once the video ends it is announce next week on NXT Charlotte will defend her NXT Womens Championship against Summer Rae!

CJ Parker vs. Xavier Woods

CJ Parker makes his way to the ring first, and I’ll be the first one to admit that he has some catch theme music! Out next is WWE Main Roster superstar, Xavier Woods! These two have had a bit of a mini feud as of late. CJ basically wants Xavier’s spot and says if he was in his position that he would be doing a lot more than Xavier is! Woods took offense to that, and despite Parker’s apology last week Woods poked fun at CJ which resulted in Parker attacking him from behind! Woods overpowered CJ early on and maintained that control with high offensive attacks like the drop kicks and Leg Drops! Xavier dominated over Parker for a long time, turning Parker’s chest red with some nasty chops, but CJ managed to get back into the match as he sent Xavier face first into the bottom rope! Parker followed up with some stiff stomps and kept Woods grounded with a headlock. Xavier fought out of it and got himself back in the match and landed an impressive Over the Rope Spinning DDT! Woods covered CJ for the win, but Parker kicked out at two. Xavier surprised by the kick out, immediately went to the top rope and went for a Diving Cross Body but missed. CJ Parker lined Xavier up for his kick, but Xavier ducked and bounced Parker off the rope and went to roll him up for a pin, but CJ Parker turned the pin into his favor to win the match.

Winner – CJ Parker

Grade – C, Pretty much just a basic match here tonight. I don’t know if it’s CJ or not, but I feel he has sparks of greatness, but he flames out after a while. Tonight just wasn’t really their night, the ending where CJ pinned Xavier looked like he messed it up. I think he was supposed to be holding onto the ropes to make it look like a cheap victory but he didn’t. I have a feeling these two aren’t done with each other yet, but hopefully their future bouts will be better than this!

Backstage Interview W/Sami Zayn

Devin Taylor is backstage with Sami Zayn! She asks Zayn about his feelings towards his match against Tyson Kidd later tonight. Zayn spoke about how he feels ever since Kidd as shown up in NXT we have slowly seen the real Tyson Kidd. He went on to call Tyson many un-kind things and even stated Tyson is living in the shadow of his wife. He ends the interview by saying if you would have said he was fighting Kidd two months ago, he would have been excited, but tonight he is just looking to embarrass him!

Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks

Alexa makes her way to the ring first, and during her entrance a video was played of a promo she cut before the match. Bliss talked about her previous victory over Sasha and how Banks underestimated her because of how Nice She is and Her Size! She even spoke how Banks former BFF’s where there. Banks makes her way down to the ring, and the match is on the way. Alexa Bliss starts off the match with quick pin falls, but each only for two. Banks, obviously annoyed by Bliss, lands a stiff dropkick after she kicks out of the second pin begins to dominate Alexa. Hitting many stiff strikes and even hitting her signature move! She hangs Bliss in the middle of the turnbuckles and then jams her knees right in Alexa’s gut! The Boss covers Alexa, but Bliss kicks out at two. Sasha continues to control Alexa, but Bliss did manage to fight back into it! Alexa using her speed to her advantage began to counter Sasha, and made her way to the top rope before she did and impressive flip over Banks! Sasha is not impresses though and it wasn’t long until she landed a Backbreaker and followed up with a Chin-Lock submission hold to force Alexa Bliss to tap out.

Winner – Sasha Banks

Grade – B-, Not a bad match between the two tonight, but we got to see The Boss dominate more tonight! It must be nice for Sasha to no longer have the distraction of The BFF’s at her side as she avenges her loss tonight. Alexa Bliss shows promise as we get to see more of her in ring skill. She still seems incredibly green to me, but she is improving each and every week. I don’t think it will be too long be Sasha Banks throws her name in the bucket of challenger for The  NXT Womens Championship!

Backstage Interview W/Tyler Breeze

Devin Taylor is backstage with Tyler Breeze and she asks him when he is going to challenge Adrian Neville for his NXT Championship. Breeze goes on to talk about greatness takes time! And once again states he suffered a Modeling Injury when he broke he broke his finger. He did say he had his agent working on the contract now! But of course it doesn’t take hours to get a contract done! Tyler than showed us his Music Video once again!

Backstage Interview W/Tyson Kidd

Before the interview, we are shown of video from last week. A reported walked tried to catch up with Natalya after the show and ask her what her reaction is to Tyson Kidd, but Natalya simply responded with a “I don’t want to talk about it.”  Devin Taylor is backstage with Tyson Kidd. She asks him about Natalya, and Kidd respond by asking her why she is wasting his time. He states when she interviewed Sami she didn’t ask him about his family! He then says what she should be asking him about is his victory over Sami Zayn, and as for his wife, she is a former WWE Divas Champion, she can take a bump and she understands accidents happen in the ring, but tonight when he beats Sami in the ring that won’t be an accident!

Adam Rose vs. Jason Jordan

Adam Rose and The Exotic Express make their return to NXT tonight and apparently Jason Jordan’s Tag Team Partner, Tye Dillinger was last seen with The Exotic Express and now he is injured, and Jason Jordan is going to get to the bottom of it! The match started off with Rose pulling off his usual antics, running his fingers down Jordan’s chest and jumping in his arms before pulling him down into a headlock! Rose kept control over Jordan through the begging but it was not long before Jordan fought back in this match landing a huge elbow on a unaccepting Rose. Jordan followed up with a great dropkicks and a very impressive suplex into a pin of only two. Jordan maintained control over Rose keeping him grounded with a headlock, but Rose fought back into the match and managed to get Jordan into the turnbuckle and hit his signature Cho Cho! Jordan stumbled to his feet right into Rose’s Party Foul. Adam Rose covers Jason Jordan for the win!

Winner – Adam Rose

Grade- C, Adam Rose makes his return to NXT to much fanfare! These two put on a basic match here with few things to boast about! I’m not sure if this whole Tye Dillinger thing is a storyline or not, but if it is that’s sucks for another upcoming team in the blooming NXT Tag Team Division. Adam Rose remains to be undefeated in the WWE/NXT!

Backstage Interview W/Kalisto

Devin Taylor is backstage with Kalisto. She talks about how he has already challenged for the NXT Tag Team Championship and almost defeated The Number One Contender for the NXT Championship, Tyler Breeze. Kalisto tells Devin he would rather talk about his future victories and not his past losses before he is interrupted by The Vaudevillians. Kalisto asks them what they are doing here and Aiden proceeds to hold up a sign reading “Where’s Your Partner?” Kalisto states that He and El Local parted ways, but proceed to tell The Vaudevillians that he can find a new and one and beat them, before asking If their speechless and then leaving!

Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn

Both Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn make their entrances and the match is quickly under way. Tyson dodged Sami early on using the rules to his advantage forcing the ref to pull Zayn off him during collision in the turnbuckle and against the ropes, the match finally gets under way when Sami finally gets his hands on Tyson landing clothesline after clothesline and following with an impressive Back Body Drop. Tyson Kidd uses the turnbuckle to pull himself up and Sami Zayn ran full force a Kidd looking for the Helluva Kick, but Tyson Kidd rolls out of the ring before Zayn could hit it. Sami rolls out after Kidd, but Tyson is up on the apron and runs at Sami landing a stiff kick to his chin and follows up with a suplex on the steel ramp on the outside of the ring before the commercial break. Once were back from the break we see Tyson Kidd cover Sami Zayn for a one count and then continue to keep control over Sami Zayn. Sami tries to fight back and the two superstars find themselves in the turnbuckle and Kidd begins to beat down on Zayn in the Turnbuckle before lifting him up and tying Zayn to the Tree of Woe! Tyson runs over to the other side of the ring and begins to measure Zayn up as the crowd sings The Chicken Dance at Kidd! Tyson does not let it bother him as he runs as Zayn full force and lands a harsh dropkick to Sami’s face. Tyson keeps control over Zayn grounding him with a headlock, but Zayn manages to get out of it and begins to brawl with Tyson and bounce of the ropes to land an impressive dropkick onto Tyson. Kidd rolls out of the ring, but Sami Zayn is one step ahead of Kidd as he uses the ropes to hit a Springboard Moonsault onto Tyson on the outside of the ring. Tyson rolls himself back into the ring and Sami rushes to the tope rope to land a cross body onto an unsuspecting Kidd! Zayn forces Kidd up and locks hands with him before slapping the chest of Kidd. Sami than went to run off the ropes, but Tyson counters into a drop toe hold, sending Sami face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Sami lays his head out side of the ring, a choice he would soon regret as Tyson Kidd lands a over the rope leg drop onto him, and then keeps control over Zayn. Sami has a brief moment when he and Kidd continued to counter each other, as the two attempted to German Suplex each other, but once again it was Tyson Kidd he win the debacle and lands a German Suplex onto Sami Zayn. Tyson climbs to the top rope and Sami tries to battle him but Kidd just kicks him away and leaps for an Elbow Drop, but he lands right onto Zayn’s Knees! Sami begins to take control and lands Blue Thunder Bomb that gets him only a two count! Tyson rolls on to the outside apron, Sami runs at him but Kidd catches him off guard with a stiff kick! Sami is on wobbly legs as Tyson runs to the top rope and lands a Blockbuster on Sami, but only for a two count. The two have a weird exchange but Tyson ends up locking in the Sharpshooter! Sami struggles to get to the ropes, and when he does Tyson just pulls him way. Sami did end up making it to the ropes refusing to tap out to Kidd! Tyson once again goes to the top rope and dives at Sami, but Zayn catches him in the air and takes him down to the mat where he locks in The Koji Clutch to force Tyson Kidd to tap out!

Winner – Sami Zayn

Grade – A, Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd continue to put on great matches together. These two have great chemistry together and make perfect rivals. Zayn has always been a fan favorite on NXT and I feel he always will be! Tyson has pulled off his new heel role perfectly, and suffers a tough loss here tonight. It’ll be interesting to see how Tyson responds to this!

Superstars of the Night – The Vaudevillians

Tonight marks the first time we have two superstars of the night! The Vaudevillians have quickly become a top team in NXT and it would appear they are heading down the road to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championships! Sami Zayn may of had a great match against Tyson Kidd tonight, and he finally got his revenge, but Aiden English and Simon Gotch managed to catch my attention during each of their segments. They opened up the show against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and what was a very exciting match up, that sadly ended early due to the distraction of The Legionaries, but it makes me hope foe a three way team match for the #1 Contendership to the Tag belts! Also their segment with Kalisto was a lot better than it should of been. Both Simon Gotch and Aiden English are excelling in their new role as a team, and are the only real challenge right now to The Ascension’s Tag Team Titles Reign.

WWE NXT |7-3-14|Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd’s Bet!

Hello my friends and welcome to my review of this week’s edition on NXT! Tonight our advertised Main Event is Justin Gabriel with Tyson Kidd in his corner taking on Sami Zayn!

Colin Cassady W/ Enzo Amore vs. Sylvester Lefort W/ Marcus Louis

Big Cass and Amore are going to open up NXT as they make their way to the ring. Enzo cuts his normal promo before the match and Cassady began to talk about his opponent calling him Peppy Le’Pew. Lefort and Louis is out next and Lefort cuts a promo on Cass, and stating their is no challenge for him. The bell rings and the match is under way! Lefort starts off early with a couple of strikes and even countered Big Cass when he grabbed his throat, but Cassady hits The East River Crossing early and begins to set up for The Empire Elbow as the crowd chants along with him “S-A-W-F-T!” Colin covers Lefort to pick up an easy victory.

Winner – Colin Cassady

Grade – B-, I can kind of understand why Big Cass dominated over Lefort, but if the WWE has any plan of making The Legionaries look like a threat to the Tag Titles, there not doing a good job. The main reason for the grade is because of the amusing banter in the beginning of the match. It wasn’t a bad match, it was just to fast for it to even get good!

Backstage Interview W/ Adrian Neville (c)

Devin Taylor is backstage ready ton interview the NXT Champion, Adrian Neville. The two talk about his victory over RVD last week and how much of an honor it was for Neville, until the Number One Contender, Tyler Breeze comes in. Tyler talks about how it must be killing Neville to wonder when he will cash in his title shot. Neville said it’s quite the opposite and offers to put the title on the line tonight against him. Breeze aid he would love to, but sadly he suffers a career threatening injury while hand modeling, and shows his broken finger. I heard he suffered a broken finger, but luckily its a small injury that will heal in no time!

The BFF’s |Charlotte (c) & Sasha Banks| vs. Bayley & Becky Lynch

Banks and the NXT Womens Champion makes her way to the ring. The commentators discussed the recent problems between The BFF’s, but apparently Banks and Charlotte fixed things up and said “Every Boss needs a Flair, and every Flair needs a Boss!” Out next is Bayley and her new BFF “Bayley’s Friend Forever!”  Bayley stated that in a record promo before the match, where she also talked about how excited she was to take what remained of The BFF’s. Bayley and Sasha Banks started the match off! Bayley stayed in constant control landing several strikes on Banks and hitting her with many impressive moves before making the tag to Lynch. Becky climbed to the top rope as Bayley held on the Banks arm, Lynch jumps off the top rope and hits an Ax Handle onto Banks arm. Lynch grabbed her into a headlock, but Sasha pushes Becky back into her corer to make the tag to Charlotte! Charlotte comes in and keeps control over Becky Lynch, covering her for a pin of only two before Lynch slid her way out of it and began to take it to The NXT Womens Champion using her speed to her advantage. Becky and Bayley worked real together, keeping tags fresh and even clearing the ring of both The BFF’s when The Suplexed Charlotte and than Clotheslined Banks! The BFF’s raced out of the ring and Bayley and Becky are looking good, before the commercial break! Once back from the break, we see Bayley o the outside of the ring, while Charlotte tags in Banks back in the ring. Bayley quickly pulls Banks off the apron and starts to beat down on her on the outside of the ring, until The NXT Womens Champion, baseball slid under the ropes, right into the back of Bayley. The BFF’s took their opening and began to dominate over Bayley. Th BFF’s wear Bayley down with constant strikes and great teamwork. The NXT Womens Champion, uses her signature Figure Four Headlock on Bayley to wear her down even more, and no matter how hard Bayley tried The BFF’s had a counter for every move. After making the tag back into Sasha Banks, The BFF’s went to bounce Bayley off the ropes, but she quickly turned it around on them, trying them up and forcing The BFF’s to collide face first. As Bayley crawled to tag in Becky Lynch, Banks grabbed her leg and looked to strop her, but she pushed Sasha off and sent her into Charlotte and than made the tag to Lynch! The Fiery Red Head came in and began to take it to Banks with uppercuts and numerous Leg Drops before going for the pin for only two before Charlotte races in and breaks it up. Bayley races in and tries to take Charlotte out, but The NXT Womens Champion counters her and tosses her outside of the ring before getting the tag from Banks. Charlotte races in and dropkicks the leg of Becky Lynch, perfectly setting her up for Bow Down to the Queen! Charlotte hits in and covers her for the three!

Winners – The BFF’s |Charlotte (c) & Sasha Banks|

Grade – B,  Some solid tag team action here tonight between these four divas! After the match, Charlotte left the ring while Sasha stayed in to get her arm raised and to trash talk Becky Lynch some more. Bayley raced in and took Banks out before tossing her out of the ring. It seems like only a matter of time before The BFF’s explode! I still feel like where going to have a Triple Threat Match between all three of The BFF’s (Summer Rae, Sasha Banks & Charlotte) over the title, but Bayley seems to have change of character going for her. Were seeing he grow a little more aggressive, and with her history with Charlotte, I sure wouldn’t mind seeing a feud between those two in the future either!

Backstage Interview W/Justin Gabriel

Devin Taylor is backstage to interview Justin Gabriel, the two talk about his match with Sami Zayn latter tonight until Tyson Kidd interrupts when he calls Zayn a loser. Tyson talks to Gabriel about hos he lost to Adrian Neville and how is career is slowly falling into Purgatory! Tyson also states that the only way to stop it is to take your boot and step on the heads of anyone trying to rise up! Gabriel says Kidd is wrong and that he is going to prove it tonight when he beats Sami Zayn. Tyson seems to have officially turned heel, but I can’t help to see the truth in his words. While young talent such as Roman Reigns, Cesaro and The Wyatt’s rise up the once promising careers of Tyson Kidd and Gabriel are slowly dimming away, and it’s only a matter of time that they get the same phone call that Brodus Clay, Drew McIntyre and JTG all got recently, unless they do something about it!

The BFF’s |Charlotte (c) & Sasha Banks| Segment

Banks questions why Charlotte didn’t help her when Bayley attacked her. Charlotte answered by stating they won’t be tagging anymore and she wants to be on her own. Banks asks Charlotte if she knows how much she has done for her and quickly asks if this is about Summer. Charlotte quickly responds saying Summer only made it clearer, and Banks states the hr and Summer got along a lot better before Charlotte and announced that next week Bayley takes on Summer Rae for the Number One Contenderhship for the NXT Womens Championship! It seems The BFF’s have officially ended or at least Charlotte is no longer a member. The fact that Banks acknowledged her and Summer got along a lot better before Charlotte joined makes me feel those two will still stay BFF’s but who knows since Summer is on the main roster anyway! Either way, I suspect Banks to play a role in the number one contenders match o make sure her BFF, Summer wins!

CJ Parker vs. Steve Cutler

CJ Parker makes his way to the ring with a new entrance theme and video. The only real interesting thing to note is he took a sign from a fan that read “Woods” with and “X” over it. The commentators pointed out the Parker seems to have a problem with Xavier Woods. His opponent is already in the ring, and this match is under way!  Parker went right after Cutler not letting him get a single move in while he just showered him with punches while screaming at him that it is his fault the world is the way it is. CJ Parker stood back into the turnbuckle as he waited for Steve Cutler to get to his feet. Once Cutler was up on is feet, Parker hit him with a Heel Kick to win the match.

Winner – CJ Parker

Grade – B-, The match was really to quick to really judge, but this is the beginning of Parker’s new character so it was expected. The real reason why this grade was so high is because of Parker’s aftermath promo! CJ Parker grabbed the mic and spoke about Xavier Woods is about to t his doctors degree and than questions what he has done since he left NXT, before giving a brief rundown of what has has done. Parker said if he was in Woods’s position he’d win titles and make a name for himself while saving the world, and ended it by saying Woods has what he wants and he is coming for it. Even though the fans didn’t give him the response I feel he deserved, Parker look good in the ring tonight and cut a pretty good promo. It seems CJ has finally found his stride!

Renee Young Interview W/ Tyson Kidd

Renee Young sat down with Tyson Kidd in an interview where she could ask him anything. Young asked Tyson about Not shaking Neville’s hand after their match, his problems as of late with Natalya and walking out on his Tag Title match with Zayn. Tyson seemed o respond to every answer the same way basically saying his head wasn’t where is should be. It wasn’t until Young told Tyson that a lot of people are saying he and Nattie are going through some Martial Problems and asked if that was something Tyson would like to talk to her about. Tyson had other plans as he got up and walked away in disgust. This was a very different Tyson than from witch we saw earlier tonight. Tyson blamed a lot of things on just his mind not being in the right place and it makes me think this could go two different ways. One, Tyson is lying through his teeth or two, the guy has split personalities! Either way I’ve really been enjoying the character of Tyson Kidd as of late, and I feel he has become one of the best things NXT has to offer. Who knows maybe NXT is what Tyson needs to turn his career around!

Sami Zayn vs. Justin Gabriel W/Tyson Kidd

Sami makes his way to the ring to much fan fare, and out next is his opponent for the night, Justin Gabriel! Gabriel is being accompanied by Tyson Kidd, and the two seem to be getting along. It was brought up how both Gabriel and Kidd were Tag partners at some point, but the match was very Chain Wrestling heavy in the beginning with Zayn controlling Justin no matter what he did. Gabriel had to use the ropes several times to get Zayn ff him and every time he looked over at Kidd, while Tyson just shook his head and said I told you so. Justin finally got back in the match as Zayn bounced him off the ropes, he held on and than took Sami down with a clothesline and followed up with a stiff kick before covering him for a two and than commercial break! Back from the break, and we see Gabriel is still controlling Zayn with some stiff strikes and follows up with a Spinning Kick, connecting right on the jaw of Zayn that only gives him a two count. Justin does not let Zayn take a break as he picks him and and hits him with and under hook suplex and than floats over to lock in a chicken wing, before covering him for a two again. Justin now connection with some heavy strikes onto the skull of Zayn on the ropes. Sami begins to fight back landing some heavy strikes of his own before Gabriel sweeps him off his feet, sending Zayn face first into the canvas, but once again only for a two count! Justin seems to be getting frustrated as he forces Zayn up and once again hits him with some heavy strikes to the face and also connecting with some Knife Edge Chops to the chest! Gabriel bounces Zayn off the ropes and Sami counters into a clothesline and begins to take it to Gabriel before taking him down with a drop kick. Once Justin is back to his feet Sami hits him with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count! As Sami tries to get Justin to his feet, Gabriel hits a jaw breaker that sends Zayn back into the turnbuckle. Gabriel runs at him with a forearm but Zayn caught him and landed The Exploder Suplex! Sami than backed up into the corner across from Gabriel and ran at him with The Helluva Kick, but Justin moved and leaped at Zayn. Sami got out of the way but Justin landed on the second turnbuckle and lept off it to land a kick right on the jaw of Zayn for a two! Gabriel goes for a German Suplex but Sami gets his elbow in, but Gabriel ducks the other one and lifts him up into the potion of a Whit Noise, but Gabriel instead drops Zayn neck right on to his knee, but once again Sami kicks out. Gabriel than hits a springboard moonsault but once again Zayn kicks out. Gabriel now frustrated hits Zayn with a back breaker that sets him up for the 450 Splash! Gabriel climbs to the top turnbuckle but Zayn is now up and the two begin to battle on the top rope, until Gabriel as no choice but to jump over Sami. Gabriel ruses over to Sami, but Zayn catches him off guard and hits a reverse Russian Leg Sweep, before locking in the Koji Clutch  to force Justin Gabriel to tap out!

Winner Sami Zayn

Grade – B+, Once the match ended, Tyson got in the ring to check on Gabriel. Zayn looked over at Tyson, but the second Zayn turned his head Tyson jumped him from behind and started stomping on Zayn. Gabriel got to his feet and asked Tyson what he was doing before Kidd talked him into kicking Zayn. Both Tyson and Gabriel began to beat down on Sami until the NXT Champion, Adrian Neville raced to his rescue! Gabriel and Sami put on the match of the night tonight, but let’s be honest there wasn’t much competition tonight! Justin does not prove Tyson wrong, but it seemed like the two of joined sides once again. I have no problem with this! I felt that Kidd and Gabriel made a great team before Tyson was injured. The only thing I wonder is if they will challenge for the NXT Tag Titles and maybe even become an official team of the WWE. One thing my gut is telling me, is that Neville may defend his tile in a Fatal Four Way against Zayn, Kidd and Gabriel! and that’s a a match I believe we all can get excited about!

Superstar of the Night – Tyson Kidd

Tyson may not have stepped into the ring tonight, but he didn’t have to! The show seemed to revolve around him tonight! From interrupting Justin earlier in the night, to his interview with Renee Young and of course to him ending the show beating down on Zayn along while Gabriel helped! Kidd has quickly become one of the top heels in NXT and is also becoming one of the more entertaining stars on the roster, and now with a potential new tag team partner with Justin Gabriel! Tyson Kidd may find himself wearing Tag Team Gold pretty soon and maybe even the NXT World title if he Fatal Four Way prediction is correct!

WWE NXT |6-26-14| The Certified G! Returns to NXT!

Hello my friends and welcome to my review of this weeks edition of NXT! Tonight our advertised match may be considered a dream match to some! As our NXT World Champion, Adrian Neville takes on WWE Legend, The Whole F’N Show! Rob Van Dam!

The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch) vs. T-Perkins & Matt Sugarman.

I’m going to be trying something different here tonight, and instead of explaining everything that happened in the match in detail, I’m instead going to highlight the Highs and the Lows of the match. Last week we got our first look at The Vaudevillians as a team, and I’m super excited because we need more tag teams! They have an interesting look and it seems the fans our into! there opponents are already in the ring and thanks to the lovely Renee Young we find out their names our T-Perkins and Matt Sugarman. Sugarman, who started off the match with English is a very tall young man with a muscular build. He took the early control over Aiden and tagged in his partner T-Perkins. This was the last we saw of Sugarman in the match as Aiden and Simon began to take control over Perkins with some great team maneuvers, such as when Aiden rammed his shoulder into Perkins gut to drive him back into their turnbuckle, while Gotch backed up on the outside apron to build up some speed before hitting Perkins with a running clothesline! T-Perkins did fight back a little but it was only a matter of time before Gotch gained control. He locked in a head scissors on Perkins and than forced him to sit up with the head scissors still locked in and began to do some push ups. I don’t know if I mentioned this last week, but Simon Gotch’s gimmick is a circus strong man. Gotch eventually picked Perkins up onto his shoulder after a little fight from him , and tagged English back in! The team than hit the signature move as Gotch his a Regal Roll (That’s all I know it as) onto Perkins and Aiden leaped off the top rope and hit a senton flip! The move is called “That’s A Wrap.” and it earned them the victory tonight!

Winners – The Vaudevillians

Grade – B, This one only The Vaudevillians second match as a team, so don’t expect them to face some real challenges yet, but for a fun short match they did succeed. They are an entertaining duo and seem to work really well as a team! There not at the level to face The Ascension yet, but with young teams such as Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger looking to rise up as well, I expect they will cross past The Vaudevillians, and that could be great!

Sami Zayn Backstage Exclusive.

We are shown a video of the events that happened last week after Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn teamed up to challenge The Ascension for their NXT Tag Team Championships! Kidd & Zayn lost because Tyson abandoned the match. We are then shown a backstage exclusive from last week after NXT went off air. Sami Zayn spoke about how he did say “You need to lose first, before you can learn to win.” He also stated that does not mean I like to lose especially when it’s because of a partner. He ended the video by stating “This is not the last you’ll hear about me and Tyson,” hinting at a potential feud between the two in the future! A feud I’m sure we can all get excited about!

Xavier Woods vs. Bull Dempsey

Xavier makes his way to the ring first out to some really great new theme music! One notable thing to mention that happened during Woods’s entrance, NXT’s resident hippie, CJ Parker once again walked around with a recycled sign reading “Everyday is Earth Day” and I did not catch what the other side said. Woods and Parker had a few words, before his opponent’s theme music played. “BULL BULL BULL” played over the loudspeaker and Bull Dempsey makes his NXT debut? Dempsey who has been used in the past on a jobber is know of all a sudden getting used? I feel bad for Xavier Woods! Woods showed a little disrespect before they locked up as he swung his hair forward and splashing Dempsey with the water? in it. but as the locked up Dempsey showed off his strength by forcing Woods into the turnbuckle, and it didn’t stop there as he continued to wear Woods down with numerous headlocks for long periods of times. When Dempsey felt like striking though it looked rough. At one point in the match Bull hit Woods with an impressive headbutt and followed up with some stiff elbows. Woods had moments were it looked like he would come back, but Bull shut him down every time. I’m not sure how the crowd feels about since they did chant “BULL, BULL, BULL” as he measured Woods up before running at him and hitting him with a splash in the turnbuckle, but than at another point they poked fun at Dempsey chanting “Put Some Pants On!” Woods tried to battle back and began to get back into hitting Dempsey with some impressive kicks but once he leaped from the top rope it was over as Woods landed on a knife edge chop from Bull! Bull ended the match after hitting a suplex he calls The Bulldozer! After the match ended, Bull grabbed a mic and addressed the NXT Universe! Bull talks about how they have just witnessed the last of a dying breed, and how NXT how let the kids run this place for to long and now its time for the adults to come in. He stated this industry used to be run by men and tonight marks the beginning of a new era of devastation and the start of Bull Dempsey!

Winner – Bull Dempsey

Grade – B, Xavier Woods has fallen far down the totem pole! Bull Dempsey has officially stepped out of the jobber zone and has made his impact on NXT. Alex Riley stated that he was The Last of a Dying Breed! Bull impressed me here tonight, most of the match felt like it was held in a headlock, but the moments when he pulled out different moves he shown! The headbutt was incredible! and he managed to get the crowd behind him in his “debut” match. His after match promo was  better than I expected, he stated who he was and practically told us what every other big wrestlers have told us!It’s to early to judge Bull’s character, but from his in ring work it’s a lot better than I expected

Summer Rae W/ Sasha Banks & Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch

Summer Rae returns to NXT and it seems The BFF’s have made up as both Sasha Banks and The NXT Womens Champion, Charlotte accompany Summer. Summer’s opponent is the debuting Becky Lynch, he seems to have some sort of Irish Rocker Gimmick? She’s got some sort Irish thing going on for her, if she ever make it to the main roster, there’s always potential for a story line with fellow Irish men, Sheamus! A little of topic, back to the match! Becky was doing some sort of dance, (I assume Irish) while making this annoying sound, I’m also assuming it was a  song. Summer decided she wanted to show off her dance moves and we had a dance show down for a bit until Summer got irritated and kicked Becky in the gut. The two began to trade blows and counter each others moves. Becky fired with some quick high flying maneuvers catching Rae off guard many times, but Summer fired back with some stiff strikes and of course using her long legs to her advantage. The focus turned to Sasha and Charlotte on the outside as it seems the two were competing to see who the crowd liked more. Summer confronted her team mates stating “This is my match” Lynch would not wait for Summer as she rolled her up from behind and covered her for a two. Summer begged her team mates for help, but they laughed it off as Becky began to control the match eventually ending Summer with an impressive suplex!

Winner – Becky Lynch

Grade – B+, Tonight seems to be the night for debuts! The Vaudevillians who is still a new team, the “debut” of Bull Dempsey and now the newest addition to the NXT Womens Roster, Becky Lynch. I stated in the beginning of that review that it seemed The BFF’s have made up, but apparently both Banks and Charlotte were bored and decided to compete with the NXT Crowd over who is more popular than watch and cheer Rae on. Becky scores a huge victory here tonight over a WWE Diva and one of the stars of E!’s hit series Total Divas. The crowd was in love with Becky Lynch tonight and if that continues, Charlotte may have a challenger fr her title!

Colin Cassady vs. Sawyer Fulton

Colin came out to a great crowd reaction, that beginning to become a recurring thing Big Cass! His opponent, Sawyer Fulton his already in the ring. Colin and Fulton lock up early on, but Sawyer took control of the match and never let go as he kept Colin on the defense with his superior strength. Colin found a way to land a huge big boot to Fulton and led the crowd into a chant of “S-A-W-F-T” before landing a 7 Foot Elbow drop on Fulton for the win. Colin could not celebrate for long, before The Legionaries made their way down to the ring! Things were not looking good as the team surrounded him, by the theme music of his good friend, Enzo Amore as he makes his return and his way down to the ring! The Legionaries abandon ringside and Amore grabs a mic! Enzo introduced himself and stated he is a certified G and that you can’t teach that! He poked fun at The Legionaries and ended it by calling them SAWFT!

Winner – Colin Cassady

Grade – B+, Colin’s match with Sawyer did not earn this grade. The match itself was rather boring with Sawyer mostly dominated Cassady in the beginning and Colin only hitting two moves in the match. Colin did keep it excited, but what was most excited was the return of Enzo Amore! Amore joins the list of superstars who have returned and/or made their debut’s here tonight on NXT! The NXT Tag Team Division was so small not to long ago, but now The Ascension’s list of challengers grows as The Vaudevillians, The Legionnaires, Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger and now Big Cass and Enzo Amore occupy the list!

Adrian Neville (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

Apparently Alex Riley has been kicked off the commentary table and the number one contender for the NXT Championship, Tyler Breeze will take his place. Both Neville and Van Dam came out to a great crowd response and they shook hands before the match begins. The commentary throughout the match between Renee Young and Tyler Breeze was hilarious, as she continued to ask Breeze questions that he had no interest in answering. I could honestly write whole review on it! but back to the match. Van Dan and Neville kept up with each other landing kicks and strikes. Neville gained the upper hand as he clotheslined Van Dam over the ropes onto the outside of the ring. Van Dam seemed to be gassed as he stayed outside the ring up until the 7 count. Right when he got back in the ring the two began to fight once again with Neville gaining control! The NXT Champ continued to control Van Dam until, RVD manged to get  Neville outside of the ring and use it to its advantage, but the soon back fired on RVD as Neville climbed to the rope and hit a moonsault on RVD onto the outside of the ring! Back from commercial break, Neville is once again in control over Van Dam, keeping him matted with a front face lock! Van Dam broke out of it and got back into control as he perched Neville onto the top rope and hit a flying kick right into his jaw. Van Dam followed up with many of his trademark moves hitting the spinning leg drop and of course The Rolling Thunder! The turnbuckle quickly became Van Dam’s friend as he landed numerous spinning kicks to the jaw of Neville. Van Dam enjoyed this control over Neville as I continued to enjoy and get distracted by listening to the commentary by Renee Young and Tyler Breeze! Neville and Van Dam began to trade blows hitting each other with some serious kicks and following up with many quick maneuvers and countering each others moves! Van Dam gained control with a huge slam and went for a split legged moonsault, but Neville moved out of the way and began to fire and RVD with some stiff kicks. Neville followed up with a beautiful dropkick and covered Van Dam but only for a two. Neville continued to hit RVD with some heavy moves that only gave him the same result, a two count! RVD began to fight back in the match and Neville with a stiff kick to the jaw that knocked the NXT Champ out. RVD went to the top rope and leaped for the Five Star Frog Splash but Neville moved out of the way and RVD landed flat on his face. The NXT Champion followed up with a missile dropkick that sent RVD flying backwards and set him up for The Red Arrow for the win! RVD seemed shocked by the victory but still shook Neville’s hand and rose his hand in victory giving the NXT Champion a load of respect. Tyler Breeze on the other hand is not impressed and said “Adrian Neville is the champion but he needs to prepare for the number on contender,” and than he stood up on the announce table as he stared Neville down to end the show!

Winner – Adrian Neville (c)

Grade – A, This is a combination of both the match on the commentary. Neville showed off his A game tonight in this match against a man he looked up to. RVD took some heavy hit from Neville but he sure gave him a run for his money. It looked like Van Dam had the win when he went for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Neville avoided it and it his Red Arrow to upset Van Dam and score a huge victory over a legend in the WWE! Tyler Breeze on the other hand stole the show in my opinion! I found myself paying more attention to what Breeze was saying over the match. His commentary with Renee Yong was just brilliant. Young asked Tyler many questions and Tyler really did not care for what she had to say. These two work great together and I would love to see more of these two, maybe an actual interview! Great Match all around tonight!

Superstar of the Night – Adrian Neville!

Once again the NXT Champion claims this prize. I debated giving it to Enzo Amore or Tyler Breeze, but when I really think about, Neville’s victory over RVD means a lot more than you think! Despite how RVD has been booked as of late, he is a very accomplished superstar and a future WWE Hall of Famer! he is a former Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, ECW Champion and WWE Champion! and Adrian Neville beat him tonight. The NXT Champion his beginning to look unstoppable and Breeze seems to be all talk, but will he be ready for action. If you ask Renee Young, she would probably say not any time soon. Over all a great show tonight that saw the “debut” of Bull Dempsey and the debut of Becky Lynch along with the return of Enzo Amore and an great match between our NXT Champion and The Whole F’N Show! See you at Money in the Bank everybody!
