For a Dose of Electro-House, Valentino Khan & Diplo Drop New Track “JustYourSoul”

Just when you thought you had him pinned to a genre, he turns around and surprises you. This week we are heading back over to Mad Decent for “JustYourSoul”, a brand new collab between Valentino Khan and Diplo. Bursting onto the scene in 2014, Khan received almost immediate success with his first “In Khan We Trust” EP after being released on Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Khan quickly entranced listeners with his blend of hardstyle, trap, and heavy house that even led to his original track “Deep Down Low” being one of the most played track in 2015. While four years have passed, Khan has easily honed his skills as a remix master and we can’t see what he does next.

Valentino is on the fringe of every genre, and all his records are consistent in every DJ’s sets. He’s made many future classics, so I’m glad to finally have an EP full of them being released through Mad Decent.” – Diplo

With so many different electronic sub-genres rising in popularity and crashing down at the same time, we are glad when we see an artist aim to keep one alive. While we thought we finally had ties Valentino Khan to his appropriate genre after “Pony”, we just happened to be dead wrong. In “JustYourSoul” Khan puts his skills in the electro-house genre out on display, crafting a track that shows off the range of both Khan and Diplo. This newer sub-genre of house allows for plenty of wiggle room, with the track mixing a melodic groove, four on the floor beats, and vocal work perfect for the dancefloor. With both artists being major supporters of each other, we can’t wait for more.

Diplo has been a collaborator and big supporter of mine since day one. We both have always shared a forward-thinking approach to music. It was dope to link up and create a vibey house track for the summer & beyond.” – Valentino Khan

Chameleon Producer Marc Benjamin & DNMKG Collab Again for New Dance-Pop Track “Hooked (Ft. F51)”

The man of many production styles is back for another taste of his radio-friendly vibes. Kicking off our coverage for the weekend we are heading off to Protocol for “Hooked”, the brand new track from MiR favorite Marc Benjamin. Our veteran this time around, Marc Benjamin, decided to make his comeback on Protocol for the single reason, to flourish on the Protocol stage. Benjamin brings his impeccable taste and knowledge in production to the Protocol team, which is always a valued asset.  While Nicky Romero led Protocol Recordings has always been on the front lines of showcasing upcoming music artists, it’s refreshing to see even Protocol breaking their protocol to try something a bit more refreshing.

Marc Benjamin is an artist of many styles and colors, so we are consistently surprised to see what he brings to the table. “Hooked” is his latest radio-friendly bop, blending both dance and pop elements to craft a groovy track that we won’t be surprised to hear on the airwaves relatively soon. In their third collaboration, Benjamin recruited DNMKG to contribute subdued and calm basslines to the track, adding more to the groove factor. “Hooked” can easily find its place on your next road trip or date night playlist.

Make sure you check out “Hooked” on Spotify or YouTube below!

Marc Benjamin Feeds Listeners His Sultry Progressive House in “Fall For You”

Some of our favorite producers have become chameleons in their field, we never know exactly what we are going to receive. Kicking off our weekend we are following Protocol for a dose of Marc Benjamin, who just dropped “Fall For You” the newest addition to his catalog. Our veteran this time around, Marc Benjamin, decided to make his comeback on Protocol for the single reason, to flourish on the Protocol stage. Benjamin brings his impeccable taste and knowledge in production to the Protocol team, which is always a valued asset.  While Nicky Romero led Protocol Recordings has always been on the front lines of showcasing upcoming music artists, it’s refreshing to see even Protocol breaking their protocol (#sorrynotsorry) to try something new. Bravo.

Marc Benjamin loves changing up his styles and keeping audiences on their toes, which is one reason why we keep following him. Benjamin tackles progressive house in “Fall For You”, adding his own sultry twist to slowly entice the audience to come hither. Benjamin injects a combination of bouncy basslines and melodies that are pumped to the brim with groove that manipulates that track into bending to the will of its creator. Benjamin has found a safe space in between being too radio-friendly and too dance-floor friendly so “Fall For You” easily exists in both spectrums. After being on fire in 2018, we can’t wait to see what he brings to the table in 2019.

Make sure you “Fall For You” on Spotify!
