PLS&TY Drops BRAND NEW Modern Bonnie & Clyde Music Video for “Motives”

Before we head out to enjoy our own festivities, it’s time to re-visit a previous track for a brand new music video. Once again, PLS&TY stopped by the office and dropped off a brand new music video for his previous track “Motives“. PLS&TY is constantly striving for success in the modern bass music scene, developing his new languid bass style to completely flip the modern industry on its head. PLS&TY has had plenty of success after signing with Universal Music Group, PLS&TY’s “Good Vibes” rocketed PLS&TY to the top of the charts, reaching #1 in multiple countries. He has even taken the world of television into his hands, with multiple remixes appearing on multiple series.

Motives‘ is about one partner wanting so desperately to feel love, no matter how hard the fall or heartbreak, in spite of the other partner’s lack of commitment. One person ultimately ends up the ‘friend,’ and the other the ‘fool,’ for developing true feelings amongst the partner’s indifference. Yet, as genuine ‘motives’ always surface, I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all,” – PLS&TY.

PLS&TY brought us this interpretation of “Motives” and we can’t help but agree with him. The music video is quite reminiscent of a modern re-telling of the story of Bonnie and Clyde, with a slightly less tragic ending. The video fits the narrative that the track presents, showcasing a couple who is absolutely in love and carefree with their lifestyle…despite being on the run from police after committing multiple robberies. No big deal, right? The video easily enhances the track as a whole, as it feels raw, intimate, and make us long for that type of mindset.

PLS&TY is Here to Help the Losing Battle in “Motives” Ft. GANZ & Nevve

While we haven’t been gone for long, this artist has continued his campaign of dominating the future bass scene. Kicking off our coverage we had yet another visit from PLS&TY, who just happened to casually drop off his latest single “Motives” on our desk as he left.

Yet, as genuine ‘motives’ always surface, I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all,” – PLS&TY.

PLS&TY take a few minutes with his new track to relate to listeners who feel that they are the only ones with their heart in a relationship, fighting a losing battle.  While we were able to get a taste of PLS&TY when he released Rusko’s remix of “Rebel Love” just mere weeks ago, we are starting to obtain a clearer picture of how PLS&TY can manipulate music to fit his future bass sound. “Motives” is a fantastic example of this style with the used of chill bass lines to craft this heartfelt theme but with an extra dose of indifference thrown in for good measure. The end result is not only thematic but thrives from emotion-filled vocals that serve as the cherry on top.  We will be expecting more groove from you now PLS&TY, so don’t disappoint!

There is just something about this genre that lets upcoming artists be as enigmatic as they wish to be. Wrapping up this weekend we have “electricity”, a brand new self-released track from the every enigmatic new project justlikeu. While not much is known about the individual behind the project, they have made their single mission clear…to channel emotions through music. While everyone is addicted to the infectious blue screens in their pockets, they realize that despite living in the most connected society on the Earth, they are more disconnected on a social level than ever before.

I realized we all go through ups and downs, feel the highest highs and the lowest lows, have weird thoughts of self-doubt and wake up after partying all night and feel sad. That’s why this project is named ‘justlikeu,’ to try and remove the hands in the air DJ hype and embody the human experience.” – justlikeu

We definitely need to know more about justlikeu, as they hit it out of the park with “electricity”. The track is hypnotizing and addictive, making us feel the power in our fingertips as if we have the ability to control its movements. “electricity” features haunting vocals and plenty of downtempo bass, making they track almost feal ethereal as it passes through our ears. The melody sparkles as we are captivated on a journey of adrenaline with just a dash of hope. justlikeu portrays their knowledge of the human psyche in the best way they know how, through their music.
