The NGHTMRE Hype Doesn’t Stop! NGHTMRE Drops New Remix of Oliver Tree’s “Hurt”

When you have been experiencing this continued ride of success that this artist has, you want to keep riding that wave for as much as it is worth. We are taking a quick break from the mid-week hustle to head over to Warner Music for a brand new NGHTMRE remix for Oliver Tree’s “Hurt”. NGHTMRE has been rather forceful and busy in 2019, with this amount of energy easily flowing into 2020. On top of everything, NGHTMRE has been incredibly busy on tour, hitting every major festival as well as a residency at Hakkasan in Las Vegas. 2018 was a monumental year for NGHTMRE, so we can only dream of what the rest 2019 will hold.

I found Oliver Tree‘s music last year and loved it! As soon as I heard “Hurt” I knew I wanted to make a remix that was melodic and vibey! Finally getting to meet him at Coachella and performing the song together was a dream come true!” – NGHTMRE

With being one of Oliver Tree’s best-performing tracks to date, netting over 20 million streams on Spotify alone,  it must have been difficult to craft a remix that would appreciate the original. Welp, that just screams for NGHTMRE to come and give the track his remix treatment. NGHTMRE’s remix features a toned down variation of NGHTMRE’s style, primarily focusing on the melodic bassline and cinematic sounds. However, the remix feels full and complete once Oliver Tree’s raw vocals break the barrier. The remix first premiered during NGHTMRE’s performance at Coachella last month, with Oliver Tree as a surprise guest to perform the song with live vocals.

Midnight Tyrannosaurus Debuts New “Mutation” EP on NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations

While we like to lavish in the world of bright melodies and feel good house beats, we need to take a trip down into the grime for a dose of filthy reality. This week we have Midnight Tyrannosaurus releasing his debut Mutation EP on NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibration label. Having been active for most of the previous decade, Midnight has written releases for many of the larger labels, with most of his work centered with Never Say Die’s Black Label. In promotion for this Mutation EP, Midnight is currently headling his first tour with more than forty stops around the world!

We are very excited to welcome Midnight Tyrannosaurus to the Gud Vibrations family! He is an incredibly talented producer that is truly pushing the boundaries of bass music. The one thing we love the most about Midnight T is that his songs are instantly recognizable and very unique. We can’t wait for the world to hear his new EP! We hope it really challenges listeners to open their minds to something new! Get ready!” – NGHTMRE & SLANDER

We should roll out the red carpet for the newest member of the Gud Vibrations family. Since Midnight Tyrannosaurus’s sound is a bit hard to place inside a genre box, be prepared for an absolute onslaught upon your senses. This Mutation EP may only be three tracks (or two and a half due to the length of “Styx”) the EP packs quite the hell of a punch. The EP’s title track introduces us to Midnight’s bone-crushingly heavy bass and synth work, while “Banana Planet” dips its toe in the world of tribal and paints a picture of a dystopian jungle. “Styx” rounds out the EP in a very minimalist fashion that fits into the mold relatively well.

Make sure you check out the Mutation EP on Spotify!

NGHTMRE Debuts New Set “The Orb” and Blows Everyone Away in Coachella 2019 Performance

(c) James Winterhalter

So now that the first weeks of Coachella 2019 is in the books, we have to talk about one performance in particular. Rocking the closing act on the Sahara Stage on Day 3 was MiR favorite NGHTMRE with essentially an entirely new live production. For those who aren’t familiar, NGHTMRE has been rather forceful and busy in 2018, with this easily flowing into 2019. On top of everything, NGHTMRE has been incredibly busy on tour, hitting every major festival as well as a residency at Hakkasan in Las Vegas. 2018 was a monumental year for NGHTMRE, so we can only dream of what the rest 2019 will hold. Especially now that he has closed out Coachella and has been thriving with his Gud Vibrations label (founded with SLANDER) what is next on the docket?

Now we have to mention that while NGHTMRE definitely isn’t a stranger to major live performances, this Coachella 2019 performance has to be his best so far. NGHTMRE had teased some special guest appearances early in the weekend, and viewers were not disappointed as A$AP Ferg and Lil Jon took the stage. This enhanced the experience beyond our expectations, as NGHTMRE tore up his brand new stage, known as “The Orb”, with his heavy bass and plenty of hip-hop influences from the legendary guests. NGHTMRE even added a few of his favorite classic tracks into the setlist, stuffing nostalgia into the minds of everyone watching.

Make sure you check out both “BANG” and “REDLIGHT”, as well as NGHTMRE’s Coachella 2019 interview below!
