NXT: Take Over! |5-29-14|Is Tyson Kidd just Natalya’s Husband?

Hello my friends and welcome to NXT Wrestling’s second special, Take Over! The past weeks have all been building up to this and we have some great Main events tonight! A new NXT Womens Champion will be crowned tonight as Natalya battles Charlotte, also Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn battle over the number one contendership to the NXT title and in our main event Adrian Neville defends his NXT title against Tyson Kidd!

Adam Rose vs. Camacho

We start off the night with Adam Rose and his Exotic Express making their way to the ring from the outside of Full Sail University! It is honestly a brilliant idea to start off with Rose, since he can definitely get the crowd pumped up for the rest of the show! Camacho and Rose have been feuding for about two months now and it honestly has been a pretty decent feud! When I first began to review NXT, Camacho in my opinion was just a jobber, but recently he has been impressing me! These two had a match last week, and Camacho ended up walking out after Rose began to get back on the offense! Hopefully tonight, it does not end that way again! Rose started the match off with his usual games, avoiding any physical contact while making a fool out of his opponent! At one point Rose jumped into Camacho’s arms and just smiled at him until Camacho threw him down and started to bombard him with stomps to the chest. Camacho was not letting up in this match at all, as he heavily dominated the early portions of the match by hitting Rose with many strikes and even mocking the NXT Universe while hitting Rose with an impressive Underhook Suplex! Camacho continued with the stiff strikes, but he hit Rose one to many times and Adam began to power up like he usually does, but Camacho quickly shut that down with a Boot right to the skull of Adam Rose. Camacho locked in a basic headlock and tried to get Rose to pass out, but Adam found a rather interesting way to get out of the headlock. It wasn’t to long before The Party Pooper felt the wrath of Adam Rose! Rose began to hit many of his signature moves including Cho Cho, witch is kind of like a Bronco Buster, but just not with the extra stuff! Rose forced Camacho up and hit him with The Party Foul or Party Pooper(I’m not sure what the name is since the commentators called it both) and covered him for the three count!

Winner – Adam Rose

Rating – 6\10: The match was still a little short and I’m not to sure why! I believe both competitors can hold a longer match, but for what it was, it was still entertaining! Camacho really looked good here tonight as he not only got to show off his move set, but he was the dominate one through out the match! It was also entertaining to see him mock the crowd as well with remarks such as “Party Pooper This,” maybe not the most clever of come backs, but its a start! I fully expected Rose to win here tonight as he continues to win! The NXT Universe was really behind Rose here tonight, and that helps both superstars because it gained Camacho some much needed heat! Now if only Rose can get this reaction on Raw and Smackdown! I’m not sure if the feud between these two are over, but it would probably be for the best that these two find a new rival!

Sami Zayn Video Package

The commentators called this video “Sami Zayn’s Journey to NXT: Take Over.” The video highlighted his feud with Cesaro and there match at the last NXT Special, Arrival! He also talked about his opponent tonight, Tyler Breeze, stating that “He is not my kind of guy!” Zayn expresses that looks don’t matter and after tonight he will become the number one contender to the NXT Championship.

NXT Tag Team Championship

The Ascension (c) |Konner O’Brian & Rick Viktor| vs. Kalisto & El Local

I have been begging for weeks to see The Ascension have a fight! Despite how entertaining their matches tend to be, after awhile it gets boring watching the destroy every team they step into the ring with! Last week after The Ascension put away yet another tag team, El Local and Kalisto came out and challenged them for the tag titles tonight! Before either team made their entrance it was announced that Tyler Breeze is in the building! The Ascension is out first, and it is clear they are over with the NXT Universe as they chant “Ya Ya Ya” at them! Out next are the challengers and to my surprise they did garner some cheers! The crowd seems to be split between the two teams as half chant “Ya” and the other half chant “Lucha Lucha.” Before the match can even begin The tag champs rush at their challengers and begin to beat down on them! Konner and Viktor than bounced Local and Kalisto off the ropes in unison, but both the challengers counter into a head scissors sending both the champions outside of the ring! Viktor and Konner began to power up as Kalisto and Local looked to do an outside dive onto the champs, but they ran right into stiff uppercuts from both the champs! The match finally begins with Kalisto and Viktor in the ring, and things did not look good for Kalisto! Both Konner and Viktor took turns tagging each other in to beat down on Kalisto! After awhile Viktor tossed Kalisto out of the ring and tagged in Konner! O’Brian than began to show off his strength as he grabbed Kalisto by the throat and tosses him into the ropes surrounding the ring! O’Brian went to do it one more time, but Kalisto caught himself and kicked Konner off of him and manged to catch Viktor’s head between his legs and slammed him face first into the apron! Kalisto hurried to tag in his partner, but Konner rushed back into the ring and beat down onto Kalisto until he tagged Viktor! Viktor continued to dish out damage until Kalisto managed to get away and tag in El Local! Local came running in and used his Lucha skills to catch Viktor off guard and after hitting an impressive moonsault he covered Viktor! Konner quickly rushed into the ring to break up the pin, but he paid for it as Kalisto rolled him up and landed a stiff kick onto the neck of Konner! Viktor tossed Kalisto out of the ring, while Local climbed to the top of the turnbuckle and jumped over Viktor, but Viktor quickly turned around and hit Local with a hard clothesline! Viktor and O’Brian took their places in the opposite corners and began to scream before hitting El Local with The Fall of Man to retain their titles!

Winner & Still NXT Tag Team Champions – The Ascension

Rating – 6\10: I was really hoping to see The Ascension challenged tonight, and even though Kalisto and El Local put on a better performance than most, they were still dominated, especially Kalisto! Kalisto took majority of the damage and this match and in my honest opinion, that’s a huge mistake! I hate to say it but El Local is not going anywhere in the future, his name screams enhancement talent, but Kalisto looked promising, up until tonight! Tonight he looked like a rag doll to The Ascension! Either way The Ascension retains their titles and still look to be untouchable!

Tyler Breeze Video Package

Similar to Sami Zayn, we are shown a video package featuring his opponent tonight! We are shown how impressive Tyler Breeze has been as of late as he talks about his looks and how we have not seen everything he has to offer! When talking about Sami Zayn he calls him a loser and calls himself a success! He ends the video by saying he will become the number one contender tonight and he will when the NXT Championship and than NXT can have a champ who is…gorgeous!

Number One Contendership to the NXT Championship!

Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze

It is now time to find how who will be the number one contender for either Adrian Neville’s or Tyson Kidd’s NXT championship! I’ll be honest I think I’m looking forward to this match the most! First out is Sami Zayn coming out to some new music, and I have to be honest! I hate his new theme! It honestly sounds like a Diva’s theme and the way he was dancing down to the ring, just doesn’t feel like Sami Zayn! I wasn’t that big of a Sami Zayn fan to begin with, but this just make me dislike him even more! Out next is Tyler Breeze who is also out to a new theme, and it is so much better than Zayn’s! I wasn’t to sure how I was going to feel about it since I was a big fan of Breeze’s old theme, but once I heard Breeze’s voice singing the song, it won me over. It reminded me a lot of Shawn Micheals who played a gimmick very similar to Breeze’s! I wonder if that is what WWE was going for. I want to apologize ahead of time, because I know I missed some parts of this match due to the WWE Streaming problem! The match began with these two being very careful as the circled each other and waited for the right move. Zayn got the first move in and we got to see some good old classic chain wrestling between these two! but it wasn’t to long until Zayn gained control over the match! At one point we saw Zayn do a Front Flip  onto Breeze on the outside of the ring! He quickly tossed him back in and connected with an impressive flying crossbody from the top rope! These two went back and forth throughout the entire match! We saw Zayn hit some impressive moves that I’ve honestly never seen before! Breeze dished out his own damage as well! We saw Tyler hit some heavy strikes and target Zayn’s neck! but Sami Zayn was really impressive here! There was a point towards the end when Zayn did a Springboard Moonsault onto to Breeze on the outside of the ring. It looked like Breeze really hit his head hard against the steel! Zayn was fired about and was looking for that Running Boot into the turnbuckle, but Breeze ducked out of the way and put his hands up to protect himself! Unfortunately for Zayn he ran right into Breeze hands and got struck right into the man parts! The ref questioned Breeze and Breeze simply stated he was protecting himself, and that is what it looked like to me! Tyler Breeze took full advantage of the opportunity though to hit Zayn with The Beauty Shot to pick up the win!

Winner & Number One Contender for the NXT Championship – Tyler Breeze

Rating – 8/10: These two put on a fantastic match here tonight! Whenever Zayn is in the ring I honestly expect a great match, and tonight he did not disappoint! These two went back and forth and showed just how resilient both can be! Zayn pulled out some impressive moves here tonight, especially this one move that looked to be a suplex but turned into a power bomb! They told a story in the ring, and it showed just how bad both these men wanted it! A low blow did mange to aid Breeze for the victory, but it honestly didn’t look intentional to me. If you have the WWE Network, I suggest you watch this match! and if you don’t have the WWE Network, than I just have one question for you, Why? Tonight Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze put on one hell of a match and I feel this is not the last time we will see them face off and I certainly hope its not the last time!

Rusev Segment

The Ravishing Russian, Lana comes down to the ring and does not take long to introduce the Super Athlete, Rusev! They make their way down to the ring and Lane begins to cut a promo about Russian and makes sure to bring up Vladimir Putin! It wasn’t to long before Mojo Rawley came out to a new and much better entrance theme! Mojo begins to promote The United States of America and tells Lana and Rusev that here and America we Stay Hype and than goes on to tell Rusev that he is going to come down there and stick The Russian Flag of his Putin! A Nice play on words there by Mojo, but the second he gets into the ring Rusev hits him with a superkick and follows up with a huge splash into the turnbuckle and ends it with The Accolade! After Lana instructs him to let go, he tosses Rawley outside of the ring! After Lana and Rusev pose for a bit in the ring she sends Rusev after Rawley again and this time he locks The Accolade on him again on the entrance way! I’ll admit I got a little excited about a clash between Rusev and Rawley, but after seeing how fast Rusev put away Mojo it may not be the best idea! but something tells me that the man who stays Hype won’t let that slide easily!

NXT Womens Championship!

Natalya W/Bret Hart vs. Charlotte W/Ric Flair

Before this match begins we are shown a well put together video package for this match that highlights both Divas wins to get here and even the family history between these two! Before either competitor can make their way to the ring The former NXT Womens Champion and current WWE Divas Champion, Paige makes her way to the ring! Paige gets into the ring and grabs a mic, she takes this time to thank every body in the NXT Universe and goes on to put over the NXT Womens Championship! She list what it takes to hold the NXT Womens Championship and even states that it holds the key to the future! I’ll admit it does feel a little weird how Paige, who is the youngest Diva on the roster is telling both Charlotte and Nattie how to be successful, but whatever! Out first is Charlotte who comes out to a new theme, that mixes Ric Flair’s theme with some generic rock music, kind of like Curtis Axel’s theme. The Nature Boy makes his way down to the ring with his daughter and I’ve got to say having both Flair and The Hit Man accompany their family to the ring makes this match feel more important than it did before! Out next is Natalya of course being accompanied to the ring by her Uncle Bret Hart! The two divas size each other up, but its not to long until Natalya takes over! Charlotte tried to escape Nattie many times, but Natalya countered every time and made sure she kept Charlotte in her grasps! Nattie was definitely looking to make Charlotte tap out, as she locked in many submission moves and hit Charlotte with many strikes, but The Daughter of The Nature Boy manged to get back into the match and turn things around in her favor! Charlotte used her legs to her advantage, something you don’t see many people do! At one point in the match it looked like Nattie hurt her knee after Charlotte twisted her leg to pull/slam her down onto the outside of the ring! Once the two were back in the ring, it was not long until Natalya was able to lock The Sharpshooter onto Charlotte! It looked like The Dirtiest Diva in the Game was about to tap out, but her leg strength came to the rescue when she managed not only get out of The Sharpshooter but to reverse it into The Figure Four Leg Lock as well! The two divas rolled around the ring turning the Leg Lock around on each other many times! The two rolled towards the apron, where Charlotte pulled herself out of the ring while still holding the submission hold despite Natalya being against the ropes! The ref forced Charlotte to let go, but the damage was done, but to add further pain to her knee, she slammed Nattie’s knee right into the steel steps. Charlotte tossed Natalya back into the ring and locked in The Sharpshooter! It appeared that Natalya was going to submit to her own move, but she got out of it the same way Charlotte did and attempted to lock in her Sharpshooter, but Charlotte kicked her up and rushed to hit Bow Down to the Queen to win the Womens Championship!

Winner & New NXT Womens Champion – Charlotte

Rating – 8\10: These two women went out there and put on one hell of a match! It was back and forth and similar to Zayn vs. Breeze earlier, these two told a story! The family rivalry between these two was the main focus and having both Ric Flair and Bret Hart out there added to it! This can be a feud WWE picks up later when Charlotte makes her way to the main roster! The after match was really special but also confusing! We saw Nattie, Charlotte, Flair and Bret celebrate in the ring and shake each others hands and it was honestly a feel good moment, but what confuses me is what Charlotte is now? Building up to this match Charlotte was portrayed as a heel and now it feels like she is a face, so I don’t know what group she falls under now! Either way Charlotte captures her first title in NXT and becomes only the second diva to hold the NXT Womens Championship!

NXT Championship!

Tyson Kidd vs. Adrian Neville (c)

Before the match begins, we are shown a video package hyping Adrian Neville! We see him win the title from Bo and defend it against Bo Dallas and Brodus Clay! Neville puts over the facing Bo is different than facing Clay he than goes on to say that him and Kidd are very alike, but he states that he is faster, stronger and more hungry than Kidd! Neville ends the video by stating the NXT Championship is his armor and no one is getting through it! Than we see Tyson getting ready backstage, when his wife Natalya comes up and gives him a hug and kiss and tells him she loves him before Tyson makes his way out to the ring. Tyson makes his way to the ring very quickly and serious! Out next is the NXT World Champion, Adrian Neville! Neville makes his way to the ring the same way he usually does, and after the introductions are done, the match is on! Tyson took advantage early on, reversing everything Neville threw at him and turning it into his own move! This was the theme throughout the majority of this match as Tyson controlled most of the match and whenever Neville tried to get back into control, Tyson quickly turned it into his favor! Tyson brought his A game tonight hitting an impressive Suicide Dive onto Neville and even reversing all of Adrian’s momentum as he his a Russian Leg Sweep on the second rope! Neville did get his own moves in as well, but it felt that every time he got back into the match, Tyson turned it around into his favor! Towards the end of the match Tyson climbed to the top rope and had to fight Neville off him many times, but Neville would not give up as he rushed Tyson one last time and hit a Belly to Belly Suplex from the top rope sending Tyson across the ring! Neville saw his opportunity and climbed to the top of the rope and hit The Red Arrow to pin Tyson for the three!

Winner & Still NXT Champion – Adrian Neville

Rating – 9/10: These two went out there and had one hell of a match! They really made the NXT Championship feel special here tonight! If I was a a casual fan I would think the NXT title was more important than most of the titles on WWE’s main roster, because these two men went to war tonight. Tyson looked great in the ring and honestly looked superior to the NXT Champion! Neville’s resiliency is nothing to laugh at, as you saw here tonight! No matter what Tyson hit him with, The Champ continued to kick out! After the match was over Neville extended his hand to Tyson and thanked him for a great match, but Tyson wanted nothing to do with the champ and simply walked away! I don’t know what is next for Tyson Kidd, but for Adrian Neville, its Prince Pretty himself, Tyler Breeze!

Superstar of the Night – Tyler Breeze

Tonight, despite the fact how Charlotte won her first championship, despite the fact how Adrian Neville retained his title, the one person I keep thinking about is Tyler Breeze! Breeze went in there tonight and showed there is more to him than meets the eye! He had the best match of his career tonight against Sami Zayn and he even won! Beating Sami Zayn is pretty impressive, given how popular he is! but not only did Breeze defeat Sami Zayn, but he became the Number One Contender for the NXT Championship! It is very possible that Breeze could accomplish his goal and become the face of NXT!

WWE NXT |5-1-14| Round 1 of The Womens Tournament!

Hello My friends and welcome to my review of May first’s edition of NXT! Tonight! Tonight’s advertised main event if for the NXT World Championship! As the NXT World Champion, Adrian Neville will defend his title against Brodus Clay in a No Disqualification Match! Also former NXT World Champion, Bo Dallas returns to NXT tonight!

Triple H has an Announcement!

Before the NXT Intro is even shown, Triple H is in the ring and has an announcement. Triple H is welcomed by “NXT” Chants and he even used this time to put over some superstars, such as The Shield, The Wyatts, Big E, Damien Sandow, Cesaro and even our New Divas Champion, Paige. All of the superstars have one thing in common and that is they all came from NXT! The Game goes on to say NXT has kind of been Taking Over, and uses this time to announce NXT’s second special, NXT: Take Over, witch will air on May 29th I believe!

Tyson Kidd vs. Bo Dallas

Tyson Kidd is going to open the show tonight, and Kidd made his first appearance on NXT last week when he defeated Mason Ryan, and than later on to become the Superstar of the Night! Kidd makes his second appearance but tonight he faces a bigger threat than Ryan, and that is the longest reigning NXT World Champion, Bo Dallas! Dallas hasn’t been doing to well ever since he lost his NXT World Championship. We saw a failed attempt of Occupy NXT, he lost his rematch to Neville for the World Title and he hasn’t been winning any of his matches. Quite possibly the only good thing for Bo right now is that he is set to debut on the WWE Main roster soon! Tonight on NXT Bo did come out to a new theme with a new entrance video, that definitely fit more than his previous one! The match it self was great! Tyson had the early advantage over Bo, using his speed against him, but Dallas was able to get back in the match after he went outside of the ring and countered one on Kidd’s moves. Bo than got back in and made sure to keep Kidd grounded with numerous submission holds and huge slams! Tyson did manage to get back into the match as he countered one of Bo’s counters and turned it into his favor as Bo ran right into a stiff kick from Tyson followed up by Kidd’s Blockbuster! To pick himself up a huge victory over Bo Dallas!

Winner – Tyson Kidd

Rating – 8\10: I have a feeling these two could put on a better match, but for there first time facing off (At least to my knowledge) they put on a great opening bout! WWE must really be committed to Tyson! Not only did they send him down to NXT, which I personally feel is a great idea, but giving him the victory over the former and the longest reigning NXT Champion! Not to mention the fact that Bo will debut on WWE’s main roster soon, so I would expect him to be built up as a threat, but instead Tyson was given the rub! and with NXT: Take Over coming up soon! I expect Tyson Kidd, to be a big part of it. As for Bo, he now finds himself in a weird place in his career. I keep mentioning he debut to the Main Roster, and that is Huge for Bo! but right now in NXT, its just more and more bad news for Bo! He lost his title and rematch, he failed to get Occupy NXT to work and now he loses to Tyson Kidd! It’s starting to get a little hard, Bo-Leiving in Bo Dallas!

Backstage Interview w/Camacho

Devin Taylor is backstage with Camacho, and she asks him about his feud with Adam Rose. Camacho makes it clear that he is NOT a Party Pooper, and he throws the best parties in NXT and even says his parties make Adam Rose’s parties look like Bingo! Rose shows up and tells Camacho no matter where Adam Rose goes its always Party Time and than a Party Begins. Camacho stood their for a bit looking very annoyed and even gave Rose a very nasty stare until he walked away from the part, but while all the was happening Rose just continued to party! Rose will be making his debut on Monday Night Raw this week, so I suggest you guys do not miss it, but as for Camacho, he has been really impressing me as of late! I used to have so many complaint, but the upset victory over the now released Oliver Grey and than with an impressive promo here. Camacho is starting to look good! I heard a rumor the WWE is looking to make Camacho a main part of the show, and if he keeps this up I have no problem with it!

NXT Womens Champion Tournament Bracket!

So last week on NXT, General Manger JBL striped Paige of her NXT Womens Championship because it was not fair to NXT since Paige know how priorities with WWE now that she is the New Divas Champion, so it was announced last week that there would be a tournament to determine the next NXT Womens Championship and here is what the Bracket looks like!

Bayley vs Sasha Banks

Natalya vs. Layla

Emma vs. Charlotte

Alexa Bliss vs. Alicia Fox

It is announced that later tonight Bayley and Sasha Banks will face off tonight in the first round of the tournament, and the winner of that match will face Natalya or Layla next!

Backstage Exclusive W/Bayley & Sasha Banks

First we are shown Bayley as she hypes her match with Sasha Banks, and even goes on to say the NXT Womens Championship means more to her than 10 Hugs from John Cena and 5 High Fives from Big E and than goes on to say the only thing standing in her way is Ms. Banks, and she is going to give her the one, two tonight! Next up is Sasha’s video were she briefly hypes up her match by saying now that the Pale Princess is gong (Paige) that she is going to take over the NXT Womens Division and tonight she starts with Bayley and goes on to state she will knock Bayley sideways Pony Tail straight! Both of these women put on decent promos, Bayley’s was a little strange, but it played to her character. Sasha really shined here though. In this promo we got to see Sasha’s specialty witch would appear to be the Microphone! She can improve on the ring skills, so Sasha could definitely be a threat for the NXT Womens Championship and even the WWE Divas Championship, in the future!

NXT Womens Championship Tournament Round 1!

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks W/Charlotte

The first round of the NXT Womens Championship Tournament starts tonight, and we are starting off with Da Boss, Sasha Banks taking on long time rival, Bayley! Bayley came out first, and I think every superstar in NXT has gotten a new entrance video, because both Divas had a new one, but back to Bayley, not only did she receive a new entrance video, but during this entrance, Inflatable Arm Waving Tube Men, make an appearance and I hope this is a constant thing during Bayley’s entrance, because it would fit her nicely! Bayley tried to end the match quick as she pinned Sasha in many creative ways, but Banks was able to kick out every time and get the upper hand over Bayley with a stiff knee. Sasha maintained control, as she kept Bayley grounded with submission moves, but Bayley withstood the damage and got back into the match with a Belly to Bayley! Sasha manged to roll out of the ring, and get back in control once she got back in the ring, by immediately hitting Bankrupt on Bayley and covering for what looked like to be a three, but Bayley barely kicking out. Sasha once again looked at Bankrupt, but Bayley countered into a Belly to Bayley, but before she could get it off, Banks got out of the waist lock, and got behind Bayley to do a Back Stabber, followed by a Cross Face to force Bayley to tap out, and move Sasha to round two in the Womens Championship Tournament!

Winner & Moving on to Round 2 – Sasha Banks

Rating – 7/10: I think Bayley and Sasha put on their best match against each other tonight! It may not have been long, but they fought hard for it and defiently made it feel like they both wanted to win this tournament! Both Banks and Bayley kicked out of each others finishing moves, but it was Sasha who proved to be more creative, as she came up with the Back Breaker/Cross Face Combination to finish the match! Banks finally ends her losing streak, and moves on to Round 2 in the NXT Womens Championship Tourney! Later on tonight Natalya will face Layla in Round 1 of this tourney and the winner of the match will face Sasha Banks in round 2! So Banks definitely has a challenge in store for her, no matter who wins!

Brodus Clay Video Package

We are shown a video package meant to hype up Brodus Clay! The package did its job, and that was to show off the monster Clay could be! We saw him destroy many talents from Xavier woods to even the NXT World Champion, Adrian Neville! The Video ends by showing off Clay’s beat down on Neville and even showing his missing teeth! Later on tonight those two will face off in a NO DQ match for the NXT Championship!

Adam Rose vs. Danny Burch

The Exotic Express is rolling through NXT tonight! We saw earlier that Adam Rose was in the building when he interrupted Camacho’s interview, and tonight he will take on one of the resident jobbers in NXT, Danny Burch! An interesting thing about Mr. Burch is he actually does not work for the WWE anymore! NXT is not recorded on a weekly basis like Raw and Smackdown, numerous episodes on NXT are recorded during the same week, sometimes days! We saw the same thing happen with Kassius Ohno, and the same thing with Danny Burch! Burch alongside, Shaul Guerrero, Oliver Grey and Mason Ryan and one other superstar were released a couple days ago. Anyway, on to the match it was just the normal Adam Rose match. Burch did get some offense in but it needed up being his biggest mistake, as is fired Rose up and led to him hitting Burch with The Party…something! I don’t remember what they called it to be honest, but it was basically a Headlock Driver for the three count!

Winner – Adam Rose

Rating – 5\10: Adam Rose is clearly over with the NXT Universe, because they stood behind him tonight! I’m mentioned earlier that Rose is set to debut this week on Monday Night Raw, and I’m interested to see how well he does on the main roster, and how the much bigger NXT Universe, otherwise known as the WWE Universe reacts to Rose this week on Raw, but after the match ended The Exotic Express came down to the ring, but Camacho came racing down the ramp and clotheslined a member of The Exotic Express! The rivalry between Camacho and Rose has taken its first step, and let’s see where it goes from here!

Backstage Interview W/ Brodus Clay

Clay is walking around back, when one of the interviewers walk up and ask him about his match against Neville later tonight. Clay looked very crazy in this promo, and went on to remind us that the WWE has taking everything from him, but now he is the selfish one and he is doing the taking, than brings up the fact that he took Neville’s smile when he knocked his teeth out, and tonight he is going to take the NXT Championship! Clay looked kind of crazy in this promo, and if this is part of his character, than he pulled it off well, but if its not than it came across wrong!

NXT Womens Championship Tournament Round 1!

Natalya vs. Layla

Part one of Round 1 ends tonight, earlier we saw Sasha Banks defeat Bayley to move on into Round 2, and now we will find out who Sasha will face in round 2, as two former Divas Champions face off tonight! First out was Natalya who many consider to be the best female athlete under a WWE Contract right now and she will be facing the new Dance Partner of Fandango, Layla! Early on Layla controlled Natalya with numerous submission holds, and she definitely showed of her cocky side, because she took every opportunity to show off her dance skills. Its good to see Layla commit to this character! and I got to say I would of never thought Layla and Fandango was a good idea, but so far it works. Natalya was able to get back into the match up by counter most of Layla’s moves. She even hit Layla with that beautiful Discuss Clothesline! That has to be my favorite move of Nattie’s move set! Natalya was looking to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Layla managed to get out of it and lock Nattie in a headlock, but that came back to haunt her, as Natalya powered out and caught Layla in the Sharpshooter and forced her to tap out!

Winner & Moving on to Round 2 – Natalya

Rating – 7\10: Seeing two former Divas Champion face off on NXT is a treat! I could see both women facing off against Sasha Banks! Given Natalya’s history with The BFFs, it makes sense to have her win, but Layla replaced the head of The BFFs, Summer Rae, as Fandango’s dance partner, so maybe The BFFs could of gotten some revenge, but we know now for sure that in Round 2 Sasha Banks will face Natalya, and that is a huge match for Banks. I’m not sure if the two have faced off before, but I’m excited for this match!

Backstage Interview W/ Adrian Neville (c)

An Interviewer ask Neville about his Title Defense against Brodus Clay tonight. Neville tells the interviewer that his will not lose to a guy like Clay and says he did knock his teeth about but he got the replaced, but says the NXT title is irreplaceable, he also states tonight he won’t be him by count out, but in the middle of the ring by pin fall! You could feel the aggression and passion from Neville in the promo tonight!

Oliver Grey vs. Mojo Rawley

I mentioned early some superstars were released from NXT not to long ago. Along with Danny Burch and Mason Ryan, another superstar that got released was Oliver Grey. Oliver Grey was once one half of the NXT Tag Team Champion with the current NXT World Champ, Adrian Neville! I believe they never lost those titles, instead they were force to vacate the titles after Grey tore is ACL at the hands of The Wyatt Family! Just a few weeks ago Grey returned to NXT and made his debut on the WWE Network in a match with Camacho, and to my surprise Camacho won! Now tonight Grey takes on the man who doesn’t get Hype, but stays Hype! Mojo Rawley! Grey’s entrance was different from his last one. It seems like he is playing the heel here, despite the fact how he was just a face a few weeks ago. The match was still nothing to special, Mojo dominated the majority of it. There is one thing I want to bring attention to though, and that is that Oliver Grey made Mojo look good tonight. He sold his moves very well and just made it seem like no matter what he did he just could not stop Mojo!

Winner – Mojo Rawley

Rating – 5\10: Nothing special here tonight, except that could quite possibly be Grey’s final match! After the match though, Aiden English came out and stated he will not tolerate fools anymore and Mojo Rawley is a fool. He demand Rawley get out of the ring, but Mojo turned his back to Aiden and Hyped of the fans. English took this opportunity to attack Rawley from behind, and just as it looked like English had gotten the upper hand, Mojo turned it around to his favor and took Aiden out by clothesling him over the ropes to the outside! So finally Mojo gets a rivalry, and I’m hoping we see more out of him! I want to like him, but as of right now, Nothing Mojo does entertains me!

No Disqualification Match for the NXT World Championship

Brodus Clay vs. Adrian Neville (c)

Our main event of the night is for the NXT World Championship! Brodus Clay came back to NXT to use it as his career launch pad after the WWE took everything away from him. He mad his intentions clear, he wanted the NXT World Championship and was going to destroy any body who stood in his way, especially Adrian Neville! The two faced off a couple weeks ago, and Neville got the victory via Count Out! Clay made it personal though and attacked Adrian backstage and knocked is teeth out forcing Neville to get fake teeth. Neville requested this match here tonight because he wants to prove he can beat Clay 1..2..3! Before the match can even start Clay grabbed the NXT Championship and began to taunt Neville with it, but The Champ was not having it as he quickly jumps and lands a forearm on Clay and began to take it him eventually sending Clay to the outside of the ring after Drop Kicking him off the apron! Clay did manage to get in control for the rest of the match as he continued to hit Neville with many slams from Belly to Bellies to “Better Than Batista” Power Bombs! It looked like Clay had won the match after hitting The Huge Splash from the top turnbuckle, but Neville managed to kick out! Clay looked to take advantage of the No DQ Rules and grabbed the NXT Championship, but it came back to haunt it as he let Neville catch his breath witch than allowed him to kick the title into Clay’s chest and hit The Red Arrow on Clay to retain his championship!

Winner & Still NXT World Champion – Adrian Neville

Rating – 6\10: Neville can sure take a beating, because he took many slams from Clay, but once again Neville proves his heart as he would not stay down for Clay and was even able to pull through and win! One has to wonder if this is the end of Clay vs. Neville! I can see it going on but if not who will step up and challenge Neville? or an even better question, Will Clay stay on NXT or fade away from competition! His best bet is to stay on NXT and become a monster on the show!

Superstar of the Night – Tyson Kidd

For the second week in a row Kidd picks up the superstar of the night award. Even though the show had many highlight from Sasha Banks and Kidd’s own wife Natalya moving on to Round 2 in the NXT Womens Championship tournament, but Adrian Neville successfully retained his championship against his biggest challenge yet, Brodus Clay. Tonight though, Kidd made the biggest splash. Tyson Kidd picked up a victory over the Former and Longest reigning NXT Champion Bo Dallas, and if you think about it with Bo’s debut coming up rather soon, its quite impressive to see Kidd manage to beat him, and no that it seems Neville is done with Clay, maybe Tyson is next in line for a World Championship shot! NXT: Take Over is not so far away!

WWE NXT 3-27-14 – Vengance Week!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my review of March 3rd’s edition of NXT! This week is Vengeance Week! As our advertised Main event is Bo Dallas vs. Adrian Neville(c) with the NXT Championship on the line. Will Neville be able to retain his championship in his first defense, or will Bo Dallas reclaim what he Bo-Lieves is his!

Bo Dallas vs Adrian Neville (c) Video Package.

A nice short video package that highlights the rivalry between Bo and Neville. They only show the rivalry from the point when Neville defeated Bo for the title. Which is a shame, because these two have had a pretty good rivalry that has many more memorable spots!

Mojo Rawley vs. Cj Parker

The first match to start off Vengeance Week is Mojo Rawley and Cj Parker, who have just recently began feuding. Parker was in control for the majority of this match. He was very aggressive, which is a new thing we are seeing from him. Ever since he turned heel, he has been pretty impressive, but Mojo has remained impressive! He has gotten over so quick with the NXT Universe and is quickly becoming one of the most popular faces on their roster. I sure hope his ring skills improve soon though, because its not hard to tell that Mojo is still very green. There is a reason why he is beaten up for most of the match, just to come back in hit his 4 moves of doom! Cj controls majority of the match, but is caught of guard by Mojo at one point and this leads to him getting hit with Hyperdrive to give Mojo the win with the three count!

Winner- Mojo Rawley

Rating- 4/10: The match itself wasn’t bad in the way of botches or anything, but bad in the way that is starting to get repetitive seeing Mojo win his matches the same way every single time! I really feel this rivalry will help benefit both men, especially Cj. My only hope is that its not a one sided feud and Cj just loses everytime!

Sami Zayn Update.

We are shown what happened last week when Sami Zayn was set to face Tyler Breeze! While Zayn was making his entrance Corey Graves ran out from behind and tosses Sami face first into the steel post. Than we are shown a video from last week of the doctor checking on Sami. Basically for the next couple minutes both the doctor and Sami state numerous times that Sami is alright!

Xavier Woods vs. Tyler Breeze

At NXT: Arrival these two men were supposed to face off, but an interference by Alexander Rusev, ended the night early for both men. Woods wanted revenge, but so did Breeze, and when Woods didn’t leave the ring and let Tyler Breeze get his revenge on Rusev, well than Tyler took it out on Xavier and cost him his match against The Bulgarian Brute. Now Xavier is looking for some vengeance in this match! I’m really excited for this match! I don’t know why, but I really feel Woods and Breeze and put on a great match together, and tonight they proved that! Its very rare we get to see Breeze’s move set, and tonight was one of those rare nights! Breeze’s character as a model really prevents him from showing off his stellar in ring work, but tonight he held nothing back, as he was very aggressively offensive! Woods to manage to battle back and hit Breeze with a hard hitting Shining Wizard. Woods shouted “It’s Morphing Time” as he set up for The Honor Roll, but Breeze crawled out of the way and was able to catch Woods off guard with The Beauty Shot and covered him for the three!

Winner – Tyler Breeze

Rating – 7\10: These two put on a great match here tonight! We got to see a different side of both men as they displayed more of a vicious side! I’m not to sure if this rivalry will continue, but I for one honestly do not mind, because it would appear Woods and Breeze have great chemistry in the ring together!

Bo Dallas Interview

Devin Taylor is backstage ready to interview the former NXT Champion and challenger for the title tonight, Bo Dallas. They talk briefly about the title match tonight. Bo heavily highlights the fact that Neville did not beat him for the NXT Championship and that he simply climbed up a ladder and unhooked it, he is also glad he is not in a jungle gym match tonight and promises he will walk out as NXT champion and that we better Bo-Lieve that!

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Corey Graves

This match wasn’t announced for Vengeance week, but I think its a welcome addition. We spoke earlier about the budding rivalry between Sami Zayn and Corey Graves, but that actually all began with a match with Yoshi Tatsu. Tatsu has definitely been pushed to the side and only used as the first step in the rivalry, but tonight Yoshi looks to get his revenge in this match, and I gotta say I’m so glad they allowed Yoshi to put up a fight against Graves, and it just wasn’t a one sided beat down. There are superstars who fit the name jobber so well because they really don’t have that much talent. Superstars like Camacho come in mind to me, Yoshi Tatsu does not. There is a fine difference between Jobber and enhancement talent. Yoshi is a very talented wrestler who just can’t connect with the audience or just has not been giving the opportunity to, but that still doesn’t mean we can’t use his in ring talents, and that is what enhancement talent is. A superstar who can make the guy look good and not be affected by losing so often. Anyone, after a long rant about Jobber’s and enhancement talent, we finally will talk about the match! Early on Graves to control, but surprisingly Yoshi fought back and took it to Graves, but Corey was to much for Tatsu and was able to weaken his legs enough to force him to tap up to Lucky Number 13. After the match was over Graves got on the mic and told Sami Zayn to stay down the same two words tattooed on his knuckles!

Winner – Corey Graves

Rating – 5\10: Tonight was all about making Graves look good, and that is exactly what they did tonight. They heavily promoted his attack on Zayn, and than gave him a good match against Yoshi that allowed him to show off his talents, and nice promo at the end really helped further the feud between Zayn and Graves. My friends I honestly think were looking at the Next NXT Champion!

Charlotte W/ Sasha Banks vs. Natalya W/Bret “Hit Man” Hart

This is a match I’m very excited about for many reasons. One is just because of the legacy of there families, both the Harts and the Flairs, and than of course their rivalry has been very entertaining as well as Charlotte’s new bad girl character! Hands down this has to be one of the best divas matches I’ve seen in a long time! Its a shame the NXT Womens division is considered the number two division, because these women can fight, I just wish WWE would allow them to show off their skill sets more often and not just their assets. I really didn’t know Charlotte had it in her, I thought she was very green, but she went out there and stole it with Nattie. The two divas countered each others moves, and Charlotte showed off her gymnastics many times through out the match, even used it as a way to evade the turnbuckle, but the second she came down she was hit with a  Discuss Clothesline from Nattie. To end the match Charlotte looked to lock in the submission move made famous by her father, The Figure Four Leg Lock, but Nattie had other plans as she turned the Figure Four around for a Sharpshooter, it looked like Charlotte was about to tap, so “The Boss!” Sasha Banks ran in and attacked Nattie causing a Disqualification. Sasha soon paid for her attack though as Nattie locked The Boss in the sharpshooter and than celebrated with Uncle Bret!

Winner by DQ – Natalya

Ranking – 8\10: These two women put on a great match! I really hope they end of doing a Three Way for the Title and add Nattie into the mix, because I think Natalya vs. Charlotte vs. Paige(c) for the NXT Womens Championship would be a great Triple Threat match that can show case all three women and is able to get the belt around Charlotte’s waist! I feel once Charlotte gets the belt, we will see Paige and Nattie fight to earn a shot and than get to see some great matches between these woman. Either way I’m excited!

Backstage exclusive with Adrian Neville (c)

A short interview with Neville. They talked about the match tonight, and how this one was Not a Ladder Match! Neville says the dynamic of the match has changed but the outcome won’t.

NXT Championship Match

Bo Dallas vs. Adrian Neville (c)

Its not time for our main event, and it is for the NXT World Championship. At NXT: Arrival Adrian Neville defeated Bo Dallas for the NXT Championship in a ladder match, and tonight Bo cashes in his rematch clause and hope to bring the title back home with him. The rivalry between these two have been great and so have the matches, and I think tonight’s match was the best out of all them! We saw a more aggressive side out of Bo here tonight, as he hit Neville with numerous hard hitting clotheslines and never let the man breath. Bo has made it clear that he Bo-Leives that the only reason Neville won, was because it was a ladder match, and in the early going in the match, he showed that he was a better wrestler than Neville, but Neville fought back and hung in there. Despite how hard Adrian got hit he kept kicking out witch just frustrated Bo more. Neville did attempt The Red Arrow on two different occasions, but Bo rolled out of the way for the first one and got his knees up for the second one, witch led to a very close three count! The ending sequence was well done as each man reversed each others moves until Neville got off one great Super kick and this set Bo up for Adrian’s new move! The 450 Splash, and may I say this has to be one if not the most impressive 45o I’ve ever seen. Neville covers Bo for the three!

Winner and Still NXT World Champion – Adrian Neville

Rating – 8\10: Tonight both men went out there and showed why they are and were NXT World Champion. I like the new aggressive side to Bo and I’m really interested to see where things go from here. Things aren’t quite down with Graves and Zayn, so I expect Neville and Bo to continue their rivalry, but I fear it might get a little Bo-Ring if they keep it going on. I think whats best for both men is two have one more match, and end it there!

Superstar of the Night: Corey Graves

Even though Neville and Bo put on a great match and Graves was only in action against Yoshi Tatsu, I still feel like Corey Graves deserves to be superstar of the night. It is clear that Graves is being built up for big things in NXT, and I expect him to be the man who defeats Neville for the title, but tonight they made sure to make Graves look like a threat. The injury at the hands of Corey Graves to Sami Zayn last week, cost Zayn this week and despite Yoshi’s best effort, he could not defeat Corey Graves. Big things are coming for Graves and the best advice I can give the NXT Locker Room is tattooed on Corey’s knuckles, “Stay Down”
