Melodic House Magnus Felix Cartal & Veronica Analyze Past Relationshipsin “Over It”

Felix Cartal is definitely one of our favorite artists to keep an eye on. This time we are heading off to Physical Presents for Felix’s latest track “Over It”. Felix has been busy, with multiple standalone productions with other producers including successful producer Kaskade. Felix will also be touring internationally so everyone will be able to see it sometime soon. Due to his most recent success, Felix has even garnered over 45 million streams over on his Spotify! Clearly, Felix, you are doing something right. “Over It’ is only the beginning of a new series of tracks for Felix, so stay tuned!

Veronica and I wrote this song while I was in LA. We did the whole demo super quickly. Over the next few months, I really wanted to refine it into something emotional that still works in the club. This has been one of the biggest songs of my set, and I can’t wait to see the reactions at my shows once people are familiar with it.”  – Felix Cartal

Now let’s roll out the red carpet for this king of melodic house. Felix Cartal takes a deep introspective look into past relationships and friendships, expressing his feelings through music the most versatile language of all. The track is addictive and chill at the same time, showing its versatility at home and in the club scene. “Over It” feautres beautifully instrumental melodies that flow into Veronica’s breathy vocal work, capturing the essence of relationship finality. “Over It” follows up Cartal’s previous release “Love Me” with Lights, which has been certified Gold in Canada as well as racking up 15 million streams on Spotify!

Under Director Aaron A’s Direction, Felix Cartal & Lights Release Vibrant “Love Me” Music Video

Nothing quite tells a story about love as visually as colors. After plenty of waiting, we are taking another trip back to Physical Presents for a brand new music video for Felix Cartal and Lights’s “Love Me”. “Love Me’ is only the beginning of a new series of tracks for Felix, so stay tuned!

“The thing that made this collaboration so special is that we’re literally the only two people involved in this song. I wrote an instrumental, Lights wrote an initial lyric idea, we refined the chorus and arrangement together, then she tracked her vocals herself and I did all the production myself. It’s just us two creating every single piece of this song. A true collab. I love how it turned out.” – Felix Cartal

Originally being released back in February, “Love Me” was supercharged to the brim with electric energy that told the story of troubled love. We loved it, and we know you did too. A track like this deserves an equally charged music video and award-winning director Aaron A didn’t disappoint.  The music video is visually vibrant, highlighting each character’s vignette with its own color and lighting scheme. This crafts an intriguing feeling of technicolor, almost like nothing is actually tangible and real. Under his direction, it was going to be plenty difficult to not end up with a great product.

Second Time’s a Smash! Bobby Love and Olive B Team Up for the Groovy “Why”

You know a track is great when you can use leftover vocal tracks and make an entirely new experience out of the pieces. Today we are heading on over to Physical Presents for “Why”, the latest track from producer Bobby Love. Bobby Love has been quickly developing himself a rather rabid fan base, mainly praising his unique productions style and highly energetic live performances. He has even managed to catch some awesome buzz on the global circuit, with Armin Van Buuren’s label Armada Deep releasing his last single.  Bobby is only on the fast track to success and we hope we can see him along for the ride.

“Olive B and I are always working on new stuff together ever since we made “New Love”, be it on my project or hers. For this particular song, it originally started from an unused verse from our previous collaboration “New Love”. I’ve always loved the lyrics and performance of Olive B’s voice on that verse in particular, so I decided to build a new song entirely around them. There’s a certain emotion in what she’s trying to say that I felt needed to be brought to life. I played the guitar chords around that idea and the rest of the song sort of fell in to place. I’ve recently been obsessed with trying to capture an organic sound while still being electronic and familiar with my previous releases. I feel this song really captures that.” = Bobby Love

Now we have been following Bobby Love for quite a while now, and we are definitely fans of how he has changed his style so far. After releasing their previous collaboration  “New Love“, Love was so infatuated by Olive B’s vocal performance that he knew he had to craft an entire song just around her performance. The result of this second collaboration is “Why”, a brand new radio-friendly electronica track that pleases our ears. The track is filled to the brim with groovy sounds and organic beats that any casual electronic music listener will ask themselves “Why” as they groove along to the beat.

Make sure you check out “Why” on Spotify!
