We Are Ready…Dombresky Drops New Addictive House Track “Soul Sacrifice”

We can always use a little bit more saxophone in our lives. This week we are checking out the brand new “Soul Sacrifice” from relative newcomer to the MiR family Dombresky. First making his mark in the modern scene serving as a turntablist for the legendary A-Trak, his raw energetic house music makes him stand out from the crowd. Once he embarked out on his own, Dombresky has received numerous successes from his various remixes and releases on the Mad Decent, Confession, and Insomniac Records labels. This even led to Dombresky headlining his own global tour in 2017 and a brand new residency at Soundbar Chicago. Dombresky is definitely one artist that we can’t wait to keep watching.

You know you already have us hooked when you include a sexy saxophone hook in the middle of your track. “Soul Sacrifice” is a fantastic house track that embodies the energy that the genre requires in today’s modern age to stand out. While Dombresky leads the way completely with his sex saxophone melody, the backing uptempo bass line pairs perfectly for a completely addictive experience. We have no doubt in our minds that “Soul Sacrfice” will be setting dance floors ablaze very soon. All in all, this track can be summed up by the man himself: “A little party never hurt anybody.”

Hamster Captures Us in the Story of the Hustle in “Heavyweight”

While everyone goes through the hustle and grind, sometimes it does actually pay off. This week we are revisiting a friend from last month with “Heavyweight”, the last from Hamster’s catalog. While Hamster has only been in the modern electronic scene since 2016, Hamster is no stranger to the music scene. Hamster is a prolific rock artist for over a decade, but couldn’t resist the pull any longer. Hamster has been riding the success of his last release; “City Limits”; which went viral an reached as high as #8 on Spotify’s US Viral Chart. This further boosted his numbers, as the track has reached over 1 million plays!

Heavyweight‘ is about the hustle. It tells the story of someone who is swimming upstream, set on meeting their goals and making the best of a hard situation. On the road to success, people are faced with all sorts of compromises – sacrificing their comfort, their resources, their values, and their relationships – and living within that tension can take a toll on a person’s spirit. ‘Heavyweight‘ speaks to this tension, particularly for the hustlers out there who believe that you have to play the game to change the game.” – Hamster

Since we keep emphasizing about respecting the hustle and grind, we thought that Hamster’s “Heavyweight” would be a perfect choice. The track tells the story of a modern hustler s they struggle and strive for success in today’s ever-brutal industry. Hamster stretches his cinematic muscles as he sets the scene for Alma Cook through his dynamic production style and complimentary drops. Alma steals the show with a raw and emotive vocal performance, causing the track to be stirring on multiple levels.

We Get It, We Need to Take a Vacation! Neon Tiger’s “Summer”

Alright, now Neon Tiger is flipping roles on us MiR folk. Making his debut with us with his last release “Neon Rose” just two weeks ago, Neon Tiger is back with yet another summer track…with a twist. This time, Neon Tiger didn’t just produce the track, but even contributed his own vocal work to the track!  While you may not recognize the name just yet, the man behind the pseudonym is also known as Maarcos and was a member of Those Usual Suspects. Neon Tiger was created so that he could experiment a bit more with his style and songwriting. He even performs using every instrument and vocals himself with this track being his debut.

“Summer” is much more than just yet a new electronic hit for the summer. What Neon Tiger is trying to do is push forth and re-popularize the elements that made music from 1980’s great. Not to mention that “Summer” has an infectious island/tropical vibe that just screams vacation time. Neon? Yeah, we are talking to you directly. Are you trying to subliminally tell us that we need to take some time off and go on vacation? Because we are definitely down.

Be sure to give “Summer” a full listen below:
