Wrestlemania 30 – Thank You Taker!

Hello my friends, and welcome to my review of the 30th installment of Wrestlemania! Tonight we have numerous advertised main events such as John Cena vs Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H, The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event against Batista and the winner of the Bryan/HHH Match! I’m excited for this event, so let’s get started!

Pre-Show

WWE Tag Team Title Match!

The Usos (c)  vs. Los Matadores W/ El Torito vs. Rybaxel vs. The Real Americans w/Zeb Colter

The WWE Tag Titles are on the line in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match! This match was great! I loved every second of it, and it certainly was worthy of a Wrestlemania spot and its a shame its on the Pre Show. Los Matadores was the unexpected team for me here. I know the other three teams are good, but I haven’t seen much from them as a team except for the matches with 3MB. El Torito even got involved in the match as he crossbodied Curtis Axel off the shoulders of The Matatdores into all the other competitors, but after Swagger got a hold of one of the Matadores and locked in his Patriot Lock to force them to tap out.

Los Matadores eliminated via submission

Action picked up as both The Real Americans and Rybaxel dominated over the tag champs, but The Usos fought through it and lasted long enough for Ryback to tag himself into the match and battle The Real Americans. Ryback showed off his strength as he tossed both The Americans around, Ryback was looking to take Cesaro out but Cesaro was able to toss Ryback in the air and catch him with the Uppercut followed by The Neutralizer to eliminated Ryback with the three count!

Rybaxel eliminated via pin fall

The Real Americans and The Usos have a stare down. The Real American put their hands over their hearts and said along with the crowd “We The People!” The Usos responded with their Us-O Chant and the battle was on. These two teams went back in forth in an incredible tag team match. We saw close falls and impressive team work, but The Usos got the upper hand when the tossed Cesaro into Swagger and landed twin super kicks followed by a double splash to retain their championships.

Winners and Still WWE Tag Team Champions – The Usos

Rating – 8\10: What an excellent match up. It’s a shame this match was on the pre show, because it deserved to be on the actual Mania card! All four teams went out their and stole the show, and restored my faith in the tag division, but the real thing to talk about here is what happened after the match was over. Swagger frustrated with the loss began to yell at Cesaro and even locked in the Patriot Lock, but after Zeb calmed him down Swagger apologized and extended his hand to Cesaro. Cesaro took the handshake, but turned it into his Cesaro Swing, thus ending The Real Americans! It’s kind of a shame because how well these two worked together, but its obvious Cesaro is over, and its time to push him as a singles star. As for Zeb and Swagger, if they keep Swagger looking as good as he has been, he could still be utilized well, but what I think is the smartest thing to do is to find a replacement for Cesaro and continue with The Real Americans without Cesaro!

The Host Of Wrestlemania

Hulk Hogan comes out to a huge crowd reaction. He gets in the ring and hypes Wrestlemania tonight, and even mistakenly says were in the Silver Dome and not the Super Dome. Hogan went on to saying how anything could happen at Wrestlemania, but he was cut off but the Glass Shattering Music of Stone Cold Steve Austin! The Texas Rattlesnake Stomped down to the ring, and did his usual Turnbuckle stance at each one, and than got into the face of The Immortal Hulk Hogan, and the two had a stare down. I had chills going down my spine at this moment. Austin get on the mic and says “If you want Stone Cold to open a can of whoop ass on Hulk Hogan, than give me a Hell Yea!” The crowd erupted with a HELL YEA! and Austin teased the beat down on Hogan, but ultimately began to tell Hogan how much of in impact he has had in the WWE and much respect he had for him. The two seemed to be done until the music of The Great One played! The Rock headed down to the ring, and this is a true moment right here! Three of the biggest names in WWE History in the ring at the same time! The Rock did his routine and even picked on Hogan for his Silver Dome mistake earlier. He than went on to tell Hogan that if is wasn’t for him telling the kids to say their prayers and eat their vitamins, their would be no boy walking around following Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. He than started to tell Austin is it wasn’t for him defying the corporation and opening a can of whoop ass on the boss, their would be no Yes Man! Battling The Authority. They all went on to say their catch phrases and than they all shared some beer! Courtly of Stone Cold. I was really hoping to see Austin give Rock and Hogan the stunner or at least the tease of it, but this segment was awesome! I loved every moment of it!

Triple H vs Daniel Bryan

The opening match of the night just so happens to be the one with the biggest impact! Now I’ve never been a big Daniel Bryan fan and in fact Triple H is my favorite wrestler, but the video promo for this match was just phenomenal! You get taken through Daniel Bryan’s career and you see just how far he has come and than you see Triple H take it all away and tell him all his work was for nothing! Stephanie was in the ring and she announces Triple H and we are treated with some crazy music and this awesome entrance by The Game as he truly looks the part of The King of Kings tonight! and hearing The Game by Motohead over the speakers again was amazing! Out next is Bryan who comes out to a huge ovation as he and the entire arean chants “YES!” Tonight Triple H and Daniel Bryan stole the show! Daniel Bryan pulled a side out of Triple H we have never seen! These two went out there and put on a classic technical match. They reversed each others moves, got the upper hand over each other and they both beat the hell out of each other! Triple H hit Bryan with heavy knees huge slams and even hit his Pedigree. It looked like it was over but Bryan kicked out! Bryan got himself back into the match and took it to the Game with stiff kicks and great submission holds. Triple H also got in his fair share of submission holds! There were so many false finishes to this match and at times it looked like The Game would win but Bryan landed on his feet after a back suplex and hit Triple H with the running knee for the three!

Winner – Daniel Bryan

Rating -10\10: Tonight Triple H and Daniel Bryan put on a perfect match! They went out there and gave it their all, and Triple H truly did what was Best for Business and put Bryan over her tonight. The after match beat down was brutal and still sets the mystery if Bryan can capture the title here tonight. As I said before I’m not a big Bryan fan, but tonight he had me chanting Yes! Yes! Yes!

New Age Outlaws (“Road Dogg” Jesse James & “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn) & Kane vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose (c), Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns)

The Outlaws are out first, and Road Dogg does his normal routine down to the ring, that is before he is interrupted by The Shield’s music, as they come down through the audience and some awesome looking mask. Out next is Kane and the match is underway! The Shield dominated the entire match. I don’t think The Outlaws or Kane got much, if any offense in! There were some cool spots like Seth and Dean flying through the ropes and of course The Triple Powerbomb to both Road Dogg and Billy at the same time, after that it was over!

Winner – The Shield

Ranking – 5\10: This was not what I was expecting! The Shield went out there and completely dominated. There were no signs of hope for their opponents. This match was just filled with a bunch of The Shield’s big moves, and honestly. It felt rushed from the entrances. I wonder if Triple H and Bryan went over time? Eitheir way this match suffered from how short it was. Anyone who was expecting a memorable match form The Shield tonight, was disappointed! Myself included!

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Only two superstars entrances were shown, The Heavy favorite The Big Show and The Celtic Warrior Sheamus. I gotta say for a Battle Royal, this was actually pretty entertaining. We saw some great spots here tonight, such as Sheamus BEATING the chest of Fandango, Kofi flying over the turnbuckle just to land his feet on the steel steps saving him from elimination, and the impressive uppercut from Cesaro to eliminate Rey Mysterio, but I think the most memorable moment was when Cesaro lifted The Big Show up and tossed him over the ropes to win!

Winner – Cesaro

Rating –  7-10: I gotta say, this match caught me of guard! I was expecting a sloppy mess, and to be fair in the beginning it kind of was, but once the ring started to clear out, is when the action started to pick up. Giving Cesaro the rub here tonight was a sign of things to come. After losing the pre show Tag Match and ending his partnership with Swagger, Cesaro went on to bigger and better things and made history here tonight by winning the very first and what could possible be the last Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

Bray Wyatt w/ Luke Harper & Eric Rowan vs. John Cena

The second out of our four main events is next up, and I gotta say I’m really excited for this one! The build has been amazing for this and Bray Wyatt’s entrance was great and hearing Mark Cozer and his band perform is was incredible! I wish I could say the same about this match! Bray played up his character and begged Cena to let the monster out and at times it would appear he was about to, but Cena took it to Wyatt and overcame the odds by reversing Sister Abagail into the Attitude Adjustment for the Three Count!

Winner – John Cena

Rating -5\10: This match was disappointing! The build was so great and I had high expectations, and I guess that was my mistake. There were a few highlights like Bray countering The Five Knuckle Shuffle with a Spider Walk, and of course Bray singing while rubbing Cena’s head was entertaing, and Cena had his fair share like the cross body  on the outside to Harper and Rowan, but the match was slow and Cena winning just felt wrong. This is just a typical Cena match to be honest. He gets beat up, comes back and wins…even if it means young talent doesn’t get put over. With as much praise as Cena gave Wyatt, I thought for sure he would put him over, but tonight Super Cena wins again!

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman

The Video Promo for this match was much better than the actual build to it. Paul Heyman played up Lesnar big time and just made this video such a pleasure to watch, but kind of like the previous match. The match itself was not anything to impressive. Honestly there really weren’t many highlights, just two guys fighting. The most shocking part of the match was the ending, as Lesnar threw Taker on his shoulders for a third time and hit him with another F5 and pinned him for the three, just ending The Undertaker’s 21-0 streak!

Winner – Brock Lesnar

Rating – 6\10: This was a HUGE mistake! I’ve always been one to say The Streak should end, but not this way. Brock Lesnar is almost 40 years old, I believe he is 37. He is a part time superstar, and has absolutely no upside to winning. In fact it feels like the biggest slap in the face. If Taker’s streak had to end it should of been to someone young, but already established just needs that extra push to make them a star! Not someone like Brock Lesnar, and the fact that The build to the match, or even the match itself wasn’t good, really hurts this the most. There is really no memorable thing here. Yes this mania will always be known for the day The Streak ended, but that’s it. The Build up won’t be remembered and the match won’t be remembered. Just the ending, and to end The Streak like that was the biggest mistake the WWE has ever made. Bigger than the XFL and bigger than The Montreal Screwjob.

WWE Divas Championsip

Vickie Guerrero Invitational

Yet another battle royal, but this one is different. It’s not over the top and its not even elimination. The first Diva to score a pin fall or submission is the Divas Champion. Now I really thought this was going to be a train wreck, but it actually wasn’t. It was pretty good in my opinion! There were some great highlights here tonight such as all the divas ganging up on AJ and Tamina, or Eva Marie pushing Tamina down and even The Bella stare off, but at the end of the match Aj locked Naomi in The Black Widow to force her to tap

Winner – AJ Lee

Rating -6\10: This was a fun match. I thought it was going to be a mess, but surprisingly it wasn’t! The Divas looked good tonight. The one fault in this match is the winner. As much as I love AJ, her time with the belt should of ended tonight. She isn’t over anymore, and she offers nothing more to this reign. I was expecting a Total Diva to walk out with the title. Someone like Natalya, Nikki or Brie Bella or even Summer Rae would of made sense, but it seems WWE wants to hold onto Ms. Lee a bit longer.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match!

Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan

and now it is time for our main event. Orton is out first to a live performance by Rev Theory! than Batista and out last is Bryan. I’m surprised Triple H didn’t come out and announce himself part of the match, but whatever. I gotta say this match was great. Bryan out did himself tonight with Two great matches, but Byran can;t be given all the credit because both Batista and Orton helped. In fact I think we saw those two fight one on one more than we saw Bryan. The match really started to pick up when Bryan had the YES! Lock, locked in on Batista and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon made thier way through the crowd and pulled the referee out! Than sending in rogue ref Scott Armstrong, made it feel it was over for Bryan, but he manged to kick out of The Batista Bomb and even got a good kick onto Armstrong. Bryan than dove out of the ring to take Armstrong, Triple H and even Steph out. The Game seeking retribution pulled out his trust sledgehammer but Bryan was able to get a hold of it and deck HHH with it. After that is where it went downhill for Bryan, as both Orton and Batista worked together to take out Bryan and even hit an amazing combination of The Batista Bomb and RKO through the Spanish Announce Table! Bryan seemed out of it has he was put in a neck brace and began to get stretched to the back, while Batista and Orton battled in the ring. Bryan was able to get out of the stretcher and urge himself back into the match, but paid for it when The Viper Struck. After some great back in forth action between the three, Bryan locked in the YES! Lock for a second time on Batista and forced him to tap out! Gaining him is retribution!

Winner and New WWE World Heavyweight Champion – Daniel Bryan

Rating – 9\10: This match was GREAT! Both Byran’s matches tonight could potentially be Match of the Year! As many mistakes as the WWE made tonight at Mania, this was no one of them. They gave Bryan his moment and I may not like the guy, but it is well deserved! At the Wrestlemania were the WWE rushed the Shield, let Cena bet Bray, ended The Streak and aloud Aj to continue her reign, the one thing they did right was give the WWE Universe what the really wanted and that is Daniel Bryan as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion!

Superstar of the Night – Brock Lesnar

Tonight was Daniel Bryan’s night, but Lesnar stole the show tonight! As much as Bryan deserves to be superstar of the night, I just can’t make him it. He accomplished a huge goal tonight. Competed in the best matches and won the World Title Finally! but he didn’t end the streak. 18 men have tried to end The Deadman’s streak and only one could, and even though I hate giving it to him and how pissed I am that The Streak ended that way and it still did. Brock Lesnar did the impossible tonight when he became the first and only man to defeat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and that is why he is the superstar of the night!

2-10-14 Monday Night Raw- Betty White is Raw!

Hell everyone and welcome to my review of the 2-10-14 episode of Monday Night Raw. All week it has been not only heavily hyped that Randy Orton (c) will take on John Cena in our main event, but we even have special guest host Betty White! So without further to do, lets get started!

Opening Segment

We are introduced to Betty White as she comes out of the entrance way on the arm of The Big Show, Betty waves to the fans and talks a bit about the show tonight and even says she is here tonight to kick some ass! The Authority (Triple H & Stephanie McMahon) comes out and greets Betty, I will say I loved the stare down between Big Show and Triple H showed that there is still some tension between the two, but any way The Authority walks down to the ring and comments on how the said they would consider Daniel Bryan to be the face of the WWE if he defeated Randy Orton last week, but they also commented saying that they would consider Christian, Sheamus, Cesaro and even John Cena! Orton (c) shortly came out there and actually apologized to Triple H and Steph, and expressed how much he wanted to be the face of the WWE and even called himself the heart and soul of the WWE! Daniel Bryan’s music hits after Orton (c) claimed to be the heart and soul, and bragged about how he beat Orton (c) last week and how he wanted Kane tonight. The Authority ended up responding by giving Bryan the night off claiming it was Best for Business!

Rey Mysterio, Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper & Eric Rowan)

The first match of the night see tag team action, as Mysterio, and the Rhodes Brothers team up to take on the dangerous Wyatt Family. The match it self was nothing special honestly and its a shame to say that since both The Wyatt family and The Rhodes Brothers have been putting on some great matches! I mean the match wasn’t bad, but it felt slow to me. There was some high spots especially The Sister Abigail at the end when he caught Rey in mid air and hit him with it! Bray cuts a promo on The Shield afterwards, and I’ll be completely honest with you guys I really don’t remember what he said!

Winners- The Wyatt Family

Rating- 5/10: I’m honestly pretty disappointed with this match. I had high expectations going into this one given the past matches that both The Wyatts and The Rhodes Brothers have had in the past. The match just felt really sluggish to me, and I feel it could of been better, but it accomplished its goal and that was to make The Wyatts look strong heading into the 6 Man Tag Match against The Shield at Elimination Chamber!

The Shield Interview

Before the interview began, we got a nice video package showing of Roman Reigns permanence at The Royal Rumble! The Shield briefly talks there match with The Wyatts, but it quickly turns against Dean Ambrose (c) as Renee Young comments on how long it has been since Dean (c) has defended his United States Championship. Ambrose (c)  goes on by saying no one is worthy of facing him, and Roman laughs at him and asks is that the kind of champion he wants to be. Dean (c) gets frustrated and announces he will hold an open challenge tonight for his United States Championship! I will say one thing about this interview, it further the tension between Ambrose (c) and Reigns! and it would appear The Shield will break soon!

Betty White Segment #1

All the Divas are backstage with Betty White talking about how The Older Generation likes to prank the young generation. Vickie Guerrero came in at some point and said to Betty “From one Cougar to another, I’m glad your here”, than the New Age Outlaws (c) (Road Dogg Jesse James & Bad Ass Billy Gunn) came in and told Betty they believe the Younger girls are looking to prank her tonight, and that they will protect her, and than The Outlaws (c) walk off with Ms. White.

Santino Marella w/Emma vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

So at first I thought this was going to be a Mixed Tag Match, but no instead were getting a match between Santino and Fandango. Summer Rae was at Fandango as always, but Emma accompanied Santino down to the ring. The match it self was okay, nothing to special. It was honestly just a filler match that saw Fandango dominate, while Santino got little offense in. At one point in the match The Miz came down to the ring, as he did last week and jumped on commentary to comment on the fact the Twinkle Toes (Fandango) and the guy with an act that is older than Betty White (Santino Marella) can get on Monday Night Raw, but he can’t. The match ended when Fandango his his Flying Leg Drop on Santino for the three!

Winner- Fandango

Rating- 5\10: It would seem that Emma is in a feud with Fandango and Summer Rae, which would make sense given the fact that all three of them have a dancing gimmick, and it would seem that The Miz is also getting a new gimmick since this is the second week in a row he came down during a match to express his frustration with the WWE.

Sheamus Interview

Byron Saxton joins the team this week, and the first person he gets to interview is none other than The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus! Sheamus talks about his friendship with Christian, talking about how they are great friends, better enemies and will work well together as a team tonight. He than goes on to say how he is going to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ion the Elimination Chamber. It was just your basic Sheamus interview, but I do want to say something. I don’t feel Sheamus get enough credit int he mic section. Sheamus is no doubt a great wrestler who defiantly can get the crowd behind him, but he is pretty good with a mic in his hands too!

Christian & Sheamus vs. The Real Americans ( Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) w/ Zeb Colter

So Sheamus teams up with one the men he will be facing at The Elimination Chamber to take on The Real Americans! During Christian’s entrance we were treated to a short video promo about Christian talking about the upcoming Chamber Match and how he could be The Face of the WWE, than during The Real American’s Entrance, Zeb Colter got on the mic and expressed how much he despises both Sheamus and Christian, and than allows Cesaro to take the mic and talk about the upcoming chamber match that he will also be competing in. Now the match was great, and Cesaro defiantly stole the show in this match, because he single handily carried this match, and that’s saying something when your in the ring with such talent like Christian and Sheamus. One thing I would like to say is I’m excited about the potential rivalry between Sheamus and Cesaro in the future, because those will be some great matches! The match also further showed that a split for The Real Americans may be coming, as Zeb continues to show Cesaro all the love, and continues to yell at Swagger for his mistakes. Sheamus got the win for his team when he ducked a clothesline from Swagger and hit a ferocious Brogue Kick for the win!

Winner- Christian & Sheamus

Rating- 8\10: Wow! What a match. I’m excited to see more matches between Sheamus and Cesaro, I’m still extremely against The Split of The Real Americans, but it seems like its going to happen soon.

John Cena Interview

Renee Young Interviews John Cena, ans ask him about his match against Randy Orton here tonight. Cena cuts a great promo as he says tonight he close the book on the feud between him and Randy Orton, and says the Christian, Sheamus, Cesaro and Bryan are all going to have to go through him if they want to be the face of the WWE.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio

Ziggler is set to go one on one against Mexico’s greatest Export, Alberto Del Rio. There was something that caught my eye that I want to comment on. Del Rio interrupted Ziggler’s entrance, and for a brief couple of second you could see an irritated look on the face of Ziggler. The reason I point this out is because there have been rumors that Miz and Ziggler are going to form a partnership based on how they currently feel there being over looked in the WWE! So the fact how Miz has been interrupting  matches to vent his frustrations and now Ziggler showing some frustration in his excellent promo that you can check out on WWE.com. Anyway the match it self was nothing special. It was honestly pretty sloppy with quite a few botches, and it ended quick after Del Rio lands a stiff super kick right to the temple of Ziggler.

Winner- Alberto Del Rio

Rating- 4\10: A sloppy match, that just shows how far Ziggler has fallen. Last year he and Del Rio actually put on great matches, and now Ziggler is made to look like he and Del Rio don’t belong in the same ring together.

After Match Beatdown.

After the match Del Rio attempted and barley succeeded to put The Cross Arm Breaker on Ziggler, but Batista came down for the save and proceeded to beat down on Del Rio, by throwing him around the arena and hit him with the Batista Bomb through the announce table! Its good to see Batista is no longer Public Enemy #1 like he was after The Royal Rumble! The fans actually cheered for him tonight

Batista Segment.

Once we come back from commercial break, we see Batista walking in the back and Triple H comes up and approaches him, letting Batista know things have changed and he can;t have Batista doing what he did tonight and told him its not Best for Business. Batista replied by stating Del Rio is his business. Triple H than makes Batista and Del Rio official at Elimination Chamber

The Latest Inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

We are treated to a nice video package of the new Hall of Famer Lita! Lita more than deserve to go into the WWE Hall of Fame, but my personal opinion I wish they would of held onto this one. We just saw Trish Stratus get inducted last year, and it would of been nice if WWE went with the less obvious route, maybe induct someone like Medusa/Aludra Blaze or maybe even Sable, but either way I’m glad to see Lita getting her much deserved spot into the WWE Hall of Fame!

Betty White Segment #2

Betty White is backstage with both members of The New Age Outlaws (c) and there about to have some tea, Road Dogg brags about how the tea is his special blend, and Billy Gunn distracts Ms. White by showing her the tag title, and while Betty is distracted Road Dogg squirts something else in her drink. As they were all about to take a drink of there tea, Betty decided she wanted some lemon with her tea and sent The Outlaws to go get her some. While The Outlaws s were getting her lemons, Betty switched cups with Billy, and once they returned with her lemons they drank there tea!

Rybaxel (Ryback & Curtis Axel) vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

Ryback and Axel are already in the ring, as The New Age Outlaws(c) are om commentary. The Usos put on a great match here tonight against Rybaxel, high flying action at its best. Road Dogg was really impressive on commentary and I think he could make a future out of it if he ever wanted to, most of the commentary was dedicated to two things, 1) The Usos challenge to the Tag Champs and 2) whatever The Outlaws put in Betty White’s tea i coming back to haunt them. It would appear that The Usos are set to challenge The Outlaws for the titles, but I for one feel its to soon. I was hoping for a rematch between The Outlaws and The Rhodes Brothers at The Chamber to set up for the break up and feud between Cody and Goldust, and I was also hoping to see The Outlaws defend and lost the Tag Titles to The Usos at Wrestlemania, it may be coming sooner rather than later it would appear!

Winner- The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

Rating- 7\10: Great match tonight, The Usos are quickly becoming the best team in the tag division and definitely deserve to be the top team in the division, and tonight showed it!

WWE United States Championship Match

Dean Ambrose (c) w/ The Shield (Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) vs Open Challenge!

Dean Ambrose (c) come out with The Shield do host an open challenge for his United States Championship, he was over confident heading into the bout, but after he heard the music of his challenger. The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry returns to the ring and accepts Ambrose’s (c) challenge, now the match itself was actually a lot better than many would think. I’m not saying it was a show stealer, but the two worked around their different styles and were able to put together a decent match up. The match ended when Mark Henry hit Ambrose (c) with The World’s Strongest Slam, but was attacked by Rollins and Reigns once he pinned Ambrose, thus giving Henry the win, but not capturing the title. Henry tried to take the fight to The Shield, but the monster Roman Reigns proves to be to much as he takes Henry down with his Spear. As The Shield was leaving The Wyatt Family came out and we got to see a little bit of a tease for the match between the two team at Elimination Chamber!

Winner- Mark Henry by DQ, but still Champion Dean Ambrose (c)

Rating- 6\10: It’s nice to see Mark Henry return, but this is like the second time this year! The match was good, but I don’t think anyone thought Henry was going to win here tonight. Once again though Ambrose is made to look like the weak link of the group, and The Ambrose fan in me hates it, but the wrestling fan in me knows why they are doing it. The tease at the end of the match between The Shield and The Wyatts was nice, as it just makes me want to see the two groups face off already!

AJ Lee (c), Aksana & Alicia Fox w/ Tamina Snuka  vs. The Bella Twins ( Brie and Nikki Bella) & Cameron w/ Eva Marie

Naomi is apparently out on an injury so AJ finds herself teaming up with Aksana and Alicia Fox to take on The Bellas and Naomi’s tag team partner Cameron. The match actually was not that bad. Nikki, Brie, Aksana and Alicia Fox have all improved in the ring. The only thing that cost this match was Cameron. Cameron is just not ready to be in the ring. She is sloppy and looks lost when she is in there, but she did mange to hit a DDT with she calls Bye Gurl! on Aksana for the win!

Winners- The Bella Twin (Brie and Nikki Bella) & Cameron

Rating- 5\10- Not a bad Divas match, but I hope the Naomi returns soon, and if she doesn’t I hope its not Cameron that takes her place in the hunt for Aj’s Divas Championship!

Alexander Rusev Video

Another short video is shown this week, hyping the debut of Alexander Rusev. Really nothing special here, but I’m still super excited to see The Bulgarian Brute debut!

Kane Promo

Kane comes down to the ring to inform us that he has been reprimanded for his actions last week, but he can’t talk long as Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he rushes down to the ring and the two begin to brawl. Daniel ends up drop kicking Kane over the barricade and stands in the ring and leads the crowd into a “Yes!” Chant as Kane runs away.

Benny White Segment #3

Betty White’s final segment of the night is a short one, as she tells us how much fun she had tonight and announces that it is time for our main event!

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (c)

People are sick of Cena and Orton (c), but tonight they put on one hell of  a match! They went in there and put it all on the line. It did start of very slow at first and I felt like this was just going to be another match that we have seen a million times, but tonight they changed it up and really stole the show. Numerous huge spots helped this match, but after a hard fought battle Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Randy Orton (c) to pick up the victory and close the book in the rivalry between Cena and Orton (c)

Winner- John Cena

Rating- 8\10- These two stole the show here tonight with the fantastic match up. I’m a little surprised to see Cena pick up the victory, but not angry. I strongly believe Orton will retain his title in The Chamber as does most of the WWE Universe, so WWE needs to do everything it can to make Orton look like he is going to have a tough time in the Chamber Match!

Superstar of the Night-John Cena

I had a hard time coming up with the Superstar of the night, tonight since no one did anything extremely impressive. Cena pulled out a huge victory over Randy Orton (c) tonight after giving such a great promo earlier in the night, and he did defeat the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and that is always a good argument!

2-3-14 WWE Monday Night Raw- The New Face of the WWE?

Hello everyone and welcome to my review of the February 3rd edition of WWE’s Monday Night Raw! Monday Night Raw is the only live show the WWE puts on TV every single week, and is the mos important show in WWE’s weeks. So without further to do, lets get started!

Opening Segment

Randy Orton (c) heads down to the ring to start of the show, by talking about the upcoming Elimination Chamber match for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Orton complains about the match and questions how many times does he have to beat Cena, Bryan, Christian, Sheamus and Cesaro. He than goes on to say he will retain his title and than go on to defeat Batista at Wrestlemania, than The Authority (Triple H & Stephanie McMahon) comes down to the ring and points out that all Orton does is complain. They also state that Orton will be in a match tonight against one of his opponents of the Chamber, and if this man can defeat Orton, he will be considered to be the New Face of the WWE, and that man is none other than Daniel Bryan

The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, & Dean Ambrose (c) ) vs. Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston & Big E Langston (c)

Mysterio, Kingston and Langston are set to take on The Shield in our first match of the night. The match is what we have come to expect from The Shield, and there was really no question on who was going to win this one. The match itself was decent nothing incredibly special just a stander Six Man tag match. The only thing really worth pointing out in this match is how it ended. Roman Reigns was ready to take Rey out with his vicious spear, but Dean Ambrose tagging himself in, and hits the Headlock Drivers on Rey for the win. The only reason why I point this out is because it shows the dissension between The Shield and teases a Break Up between The Hounds of Justice! Afterwards The Wyatt’s showed up on the screen and hyped there match against The Shield at Elimination Chamber!

Winners: The Shield

Rating- 7/10: The match was honestly nothing to impressive. It wasn’t a bad match, but as I said nothing incredible. The only thing to really take note of in this match is the fact that The Shield is going to break up soon, possibly as soon as The Elimination Chamber

Bad News Barrett Promo

Wade Barrett tells the WWE Universe that they wasted there time stuffing there face watching The Super Bowl last night, and they won’t live to see next years Super Bowl, than Jerry “The King” Lawyer decided to stand up and tell Barrett some bad news.  Honestly I’m not in love with Wade Barrett’s gimmick right now. This man should be in the Upper Mid Card area, but something went wrong. Now he is stuck with a character that gives him heat, but heat is only good when you use it to elevate your career. I hope something big happens for Barrett, because this man deserves it!

Christian vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter & Antonio Cesaro

Christian returns to Monday Nights, and his first match back is a rematch from Friday Night Smackdown. Christian was able to defeat Jack to earn a spot into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Chamber match, but join Christian in that Chamber match is Swaggers Tag Team partner Antonio Cesaro. The match was decent. I’ve seen these two put on better match, but I’ve never seen them put on a bad match. This match did do its job and that is making Christian looking good for the chamber and further show the a split is on the way for The Real Americans, and the is something I don’t agree with at all. We have already seen the split of The Prime Time Players, its assumed Rhodes and Goldust are going to split soon, The New Age Outlaws aren’t going to be around forever, and its pretty much guaranteed The Shield is going to split soon. The WWE tag Division is looking good right now, but if The Real Americans split the only real teams we will have are The Usos, The Wyatt Family Rybaxel, Los Matadores and 3MB. The tag division is not looking good!

Winner: Christian

Rating- 6/10: The match was decent and showcased what it needed to, no matter how much I disagree with it.

Steel Cage Match for the Tag Team Championships- The New Age Outlaws ( Road Dogg Jesse James & Bad Ass Billy Gunn (c) ) vs. Goldust & Cody Rhodes

Its not often we are treated to a title match on free TV, and its not often we are treated to a Steel Cage match on TV, so when i heard were going to get both in the same match I was excited, and I have to say I was not disappointed. Even though the match was slow at times, but still a great match. We saw Road Dogg question why they were in there adding more proof that the only reason they were given a tag title shot was because of the friendship with Triple H, and we even saw a death defying moonsault from Cody Rhodes for a top of the Steel Cage! It was honestly a great match, my only complaint is how it was handled. Why did they have to tag in and tag out? I’ve never seen that before and why were they not aloud to escape the steel cage?

Winner: The New Age Outlaws (c)

Rating- 7/10: A great match showing off that the Tag Division is not dead. As I said before the only thing I can complain about is they had dome weird rules. I can’t recall ever seeing a Tag Cage Match where you had to tag in and out, its usually a Tornado Tag Match, and I just don’t like it when you can’t escape from the cage, if you were to ask me that’s the point of a cage match, to escape! but either way a great match between these two teams. Still no sign if The Rhodes Brothers are going to split though.

Zack Ryder vs. Titus O’Neil

As I mentioned earlier The Prime Time Players are no more! Last Friday on Smackdown Titus O’Neil turned his back on Darren Young and brutally beat him down. Tonight he looks to do the same thing to Zack Ryder. That match itself was actually pretty good. I never have seen what the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) sees in Titus O’Neil, until tonight. Titus showed extreme aggression as he tossed Ryder around. At some point in the match The Miz walked down to the ring and got on the announce team and said that a guy who Barks and a guy who calls him self the Internet Champion can get a match on Raw, but he can’t so maybe were going to finally see something good out of The Miz, because he deserves it. Anyway the match itself was your basic jobber match that showed of That Titus O’Neil is really a Big Deal!

Winner: Titus O’Neil

Rating-5\10: This was a decent match for it being a jobber match. Its a shame to see Ryder fall further down the totem pole, but it did what it needed to do and that’s make Titus look good! and the added bonus of what seems to be a new character for The Miz defiantly caught my attention!

Dance off between Fandango & Santino Marella

Fandango and Santino were going to compete in a dance off, but Santino felt bad that he was going to destroy Fandango so he proposed a dance off between Summer Rae and a member of the crowd, and that member of the crowd just so happened NXT’s Emma. Emma and Summer danced. The crowd voted for Emma. I’m not sure if this counts as a debut, but I’ll accept it. I’m kinda nervous for Emma, because she is suck a great wrestler but I don’t think her dancing gimmick will get over. So here is to hoping Emma proves me wrong!

Sheamus vs. Curtis Axel w/Ryback

Ever since Sheamus returned at The Rumble he has looked great, and tonight was no exception. Sheamus battled the son of Curtis Axel in a pretty good match. Nothing really to add here in this one, the only thing it needed to accomplish was to make Sheamus look good, and that’s what it did! I will say it does say something about Sheamus that he was gone for so long and was able to come back and still remain popular with the WWE Universe!

Winner: Sheamus

Rating- 8/10: Sheamus has looked great since coming back, and is definitely looking like a threat in the chamber, I’m almost positive he won’t win which makes me wonder who he will face at Mania. Ryback?

Batista & Alberto Del Rio Segment

So Batista came down to the ring to cut what I’m going to assume to cut a promo on Randy Orton, but I will never know because Alberto Del Rio came down to the ring, and further told Batista that he doesn’t like him. This was actually not a bad segment. Batista was actually cheered, that caught me off guard. Del Rio cut a decent promo, but they way he always talks is just annoying. Batista tried explaining to Del Rio that he has no problem with him, but Del Rio seems to have a problem with Batista! Del Rio stiffed Batista and the two began to brawl, so it looks like at the Chamber were going to see Batista vs. Del Rio

Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth & Xavier Woods vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper & Eric Rowan)

So earlier in the night we saw the Shield in action, and now its time for there opponents to have a match. This match was honestly pretty quick and kinda one sided. The Wyatts dominated the entire time and Bray ended up picking up the win for his team after hitting Sister Abigail on Ziggler for the three, but it was happened after the match that caught my attention. Similar to how Bray and his family cut a promo on The Shield, The Shield does the same for the Wyatts and it was brilliant. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns spoke about not living in Wyatts make believe world, and at the end when Wyatt laughed at The Shield made it even better! I’m excited for there match at Elimination Chamber.

Winner: ThWyatt Family

Rating- 6/10: The feud between The Shield and The Wyatts has heated up tonight! The match was decent, but the after match promo really helped further this feud, and I can’t wait for these 6 men to clash at the Chamber!

Alexander Rusev Video

A nice video package hyping the debut of Alexander Rusev, and let me be the first to say I’m excited for him. When he made a surprise appearance in the rumble match I marked out! He was defiantly the highlight entrant of the night, and I’ve seen what he can do on NXT and I feel he is going to become a big time start in the WWE, I just hope he doesn’t end up like most of WWE’s attempt at monster heels!

Naomi vs. Aksana

So it seems like Naomi may be next in line at shot at the Divas championship. Aj Lee (c) was on commentary for this match, and she was kind of distracting honestly. The match itself was decent, Aksana seems to have improved in the ring. So as long as the Divas get more time and improve in the ring, we may get a good Divas Division, and it may just start with Aj & Naomi

Winner: Naomi

Rating-5/10: It was a good match for the Divas, I just hope that if/when Aj defends against Naomi they actually get time, and not just a quick match because I believe if these two are giving a good amount of time they can be one of the matches of the night!

Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (c)

The main event of the night is between two of the WWE’s best superstars! Bryan despite all the grief I give him is an amazing wrestler, as is Orton. They both may not be great on the mic, and Bryan may not look the part, but when you let these two go at it they can steal the show, and that’s what they did tonight! Back and forth action between the two, and I for one was really expecting Orton to walk away with the pin, but WWE gave it to Bryan. I don’t think this means he is going to win the title, but it defiantly makes you think. Bryan right now as of this review is being rumored for two different matches at Mania. One is a one on one match between himself and Triple H and the other is a triple threat match between Himself, Orton and Batista with the title on the line. After the match ended Kane and Orton beat up on Bryan, so who knows how things will turn out!

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Rating- 9/10: They stole the show here tonight as they tend to do. The WWE is making you think Bryan is walking out of the Chamber, and while I’m not buying it yet, I can see it happening. The beat down could go anyway, it could lead to the match between Triple or Orton so who knows.

Superstar of the Night: Daniel Bryan
