Join in Unified Euphoria with Felix Cartal’s Latest Release “Hold Tight”

Hey Felix! It has been a while (too casual?). It is about time we rounded out this week’s weekend releases with a possible familiar face. This time we cruise on over to Capitol Records to check in with Felix Cartal, who provided us with his latest release “Hold Tight”. Felix has been busy, with multiple standalone productions with other producers including successful producer Kaskade. Felix will also be touring internationally so everyone will be able to see if sometime soon. Due to his most recent success, Felix has even garnered over 45 million streams over on his Spotify! Clearly, Felix, you are doing something right.

Since we put out quite a bit of content for such a small site like ours, we like to compare the tracks and how they stand up to each other. Felix’s “Hold Tight” takes the same kind of focus that he brought us in “Get What You Give”, showcasing the power of unity the electronic music offers in a time of division and crisis. While there is only one vocal lyric, the titular “Hold Tight”, Felix is able to convey that one word into a feeling of euphoria.

I liked the Hold Tight phrase, which I sampled from “Get What You Give“, as a themeI think embraces are very powerful, and the mood of the song has this sort of unresolved feeling – like we are all searching for a moment of togetherness. – Felix Cartal

NEW PANDA FUNK: Italian Up-and-Comer Producer Luca Testa Releases “Go Down”

Alright, it is about time that we introduced a new label to the MiR family. For the first release to fill up your weekend we have Panda Funk’s (headed by Deorro) latest with “Go Down” by talented producer Luca Testa. Panda Funk is known to be more like a movement than a record label, and the brains behind the operation try to showcase as much diversity in their talent pool as possible. Luca Testa is a prime example of this dynamic style, as he is widely considered to be one of the best upcoming artists on the Italian scene. Testa’s previous work as nailed him support from powerhouses such as Hardwell and Dimitri Vegas.

Since this is our first coverage of a track from Panda Funk, how does it stand up? Well, we can just say that Testa has got us hooked. This club bomb derives from heavy electro influences, while at the same time staying true to the best aspects of the tech-house genre. “Go Down” has an intense drop and once you add Testa’s vocals on top of that then you have a solid track and can see just how talented Testa is as a producer. We can’t wait to see what else you bring us Testa.

Make sure you give “Go Down” a full listen below:

Join the “Mob”! The Latest From Dirty Audio and Newcomer Carbin

We were starting to get worried DA, it had been over a month since we heard from you. Wrapping up our actual work week we have the latest from Dirty Audio with “Mob”, a collaboration with Carbin and iE-Z. The track is just the latest in Dirty Audio’s impressive list including: “Alien Cookies”,  “Used to Have It All”. “Ocho Cinco”, and “Roller Coaster”. While he has been busy with new tracks, Dirty also released a new sample pack via Splice. Plenty of sample work for your own tracks in the making. Sounds like being too busy right? Well on top of that Dirty even toured in Australia.

Now how does “Mob” stand up to what else Dirty Audio has brought to us in the past? We at MiR feel like we can all agree that this track is going to push you forward into a night of debauchery and chaos…in the best way possible. This track is also a collab with upcoming producer Carbin and rapper iE-Z, who adds plenty of dirty as hell rap lyrics to an already dope track and just flows with the beat. Whether it is the metallic basslines or heavy-duty synths, everyone can find something to like in this track. Quick, join the “Mob” before it fills up!

Be sure to give “Mob” a full listen below:
